Do you mean if we can look past all of that "Bad Buzz" that this website has helped to promote?
  • RobertFure · 3 months ago
We don't promote bad buzz. We write about whats going on. When word says Sommers is fired, we may choose to report that. When a trailer looks like a complete pile of shit full of accelerator suits, we comment on that. And if it turns out that the movie is good, we say that.

I've been FSR's biggest detractor of the movie because I'm its biggest GI Joe fan. I'll see the movie this weekend and either stand by my opinion or say the movie was good, whichever is the case. We don't have an agenda, just opinions.

HAHAHA That's right! It's so odd. But It's only fair that they express their impressions as we do based on snippets. Fortunately the final product sounds decent.

Actually Neil, TMNT is awesome. I am 27 yrs old, not a fanboy, and I watch that shit and it still looks cool...

How unfortunate for me to admit such a thing but nevertheless, 'tis true.
  • Neil Miller · 3 months ago
Oh, don't get me wrong, I love TMNT. It is still awesome. However, if I had never seen it and watched it for the first time today, there's no way it would be as awesome. It has sentimental value and was awesome when I was 10, but it wouldn't hold the same weight now.

And for kids today, GI JOE is that kind of movie. 15 years from now they will look back and still love the movie, even though they will be able to acknowledge its cinematic shortcomings.

I'll still see it whatever the buzz. You can only judge a film when you see it yourself. I'm big fan of G.i.Joe, so i don't think I'll be disappointed....despite these bad buzz.

Wow, I completely expected this to be one of few good reviews of G.I. Joe, but so far it has an 83% percent on RT, and they haven't even included this review yet.

This is what I've been waiting for. After all the pre-judging that has been going on with this movie, I was hoping GI Joe would rock so hard that all the haters would be buried under the debris. Looks like my wish has come true. Viva la resistance!

Looks fun, i'll be seeing it.
  • Peter Donohue · 3 months ago
...nope, still not interested. Sorry guys, but even though I respect your opinions, I don't think I could get myself to see a movie based off of fricken G.I. Joe.

I agree with the B and most of the critique. On second thought I'd give it a B+ since I actually enjoyed it very much. (maybe because i had low expectations?) But then i had low expectations for transformers2 and it still disappointed me. michael bay should watch this and take notes. This is how you make a live-action "cartoon" movie. It's supposed to be fun and a bit silly but not stoopid and senseless!

Kids (of all ages) are going to love this and remember it for a long time. Those who want something like Iron Man should just wait for Iron Man2.

I was skeptical, but knowing that, I must see it now.

As for Ray Park speaking, Heroes this fall.

Just got back from the midnight showing, the movie was a blast!

I thought this was a better investment than tickets to GI Joe (maybe I'll see it as a matinee):

The movie trailer instigated the bad buzz. The movie, I thought, tongue in cheek ok. My 11 year old son? He thought it was awesome! The movie served it's purpose.
