I found the movie American Violet to be an excellent movie. Beharie did an excellent job playing the role of Dee. I was drawn into the movie form the beginning to the end. What I found frightening was the fact that Beckett still holds office in Melody Texas, today in 2009. How much has really changed!!! It is a movie well worth seeing.

I loved "America Violet" it is souch a touchy drama movie, i cried the first time I saw it. It represents real life scenarios that will help you better understand and judge the main character of the movie.
