Film School Rejects: Randy Quaid as Tim Russert? Say it Ain’t So!

Give it a few years then I maybe, but your right it is way too soon to be making a movie about Tim Russert, it makes them filmmakers seem very tasteless like they are trying to cash in on Tim Russert's sudden death which was what unfortunately was in the news so much over the last few weeks.

*sigh*I'm Canadian & even I'm offended at the thought of Randy Quaid biopic-ing the late Tim Russert. Whilst there are some similarities physically that would enable him to pull off the look, I just can't get the vision of Randy Quaid playing that drunkard father in Independance Day (Happy July4th my Americano neighbours! btw) out of my head and to think that is the person they'd have play Tim Russert's image in his later life up to his passing is just...I don't even have the words for it but perhaps inappropriate is the best substitute. Plus, wtf man?!?!?, this beloved news caster just passed away, his family is still in morning (most likely) & already ya'll want to make a biopic?!?!?!? GEEZE, is a life well lived no longer sacred? I agree w/Robin R. that they should release a "Best of 'Meet The Press'" dvd box set or something but anything else is WAY too soon!!! smh*sigh* Every life is a commodity nowadays, we must really be living in The Matrix & plugged into some battery station to serve no other purpose than to feed a machine. The fact that this is even a reality is a sad commentry on where we've reached as a soceity. A brand new low. When will we learn?

I'm from Buffalo so I can tell you that if our "favorite son" is to be remembered as Randy Quaid, the production company will have one very angry city on its hands. Tim Russert was just an all around great guy, who could interview some of the most aggressive politicians in the world and have a perma smile on his face. A biopic would be great...several years down the road. Let his family have some time to grieve! And find someone better then Randy Quaid!!
