This makes the last Punisher film look like Sesame St.I don't care what anyone says

Well until I see it I will reserve judgement since I was sure the first Punisher Movie with Thomas Jane seemed to be legit. At least this one appears to have more than 10 minutes of action and not just 30 seconds like previously.

To all who think that after seeing this clip that the movie will still be garbage go see your lame ass 2004 version LOL!.Finally someone caught the real essence of who The Punisher is.I can't believe that some people are complaining about the "plot" and the story(rolling eyes).lf you've ever read any of The Punisher comics,he's a straight up killing machine fucking up criminals left and right,so its not complicated.The 2004 was just a cheeseball ripoff of an old Charles Bronson film.And why the hell would they set the location in Tampa Florida?!Frank Castle is a New Yorker dude I dont want to see him around palm trees eating coconuts.All I have to say is that Ray Stevenson is gonna own this role, nuff' said!

Ain't gonna lie. This movie doesn't look like it's going to win any Oscars anytime soon. But I'll be first in line, baby! You know why? Cuz this looks like The Punisher! Whether he should be transposed to the big screen is ANOTHER debate but if he's gonna be? May as well do it, right, no? God, the 2004 movie was garbage! Garbage! Not only were the RADICAL changes to the character insulting, but it TOOK AWAY from the ACTION of the movie, which is the essential CORE of the character! Unless a boring movie with a total body-count of NINE is what we WANT from The Punisher?
Please. The character isn't complicated. Yet, Hensleigh and Jane somehow MANGLED IT beyond comprehension.
No drinking, no cheezy oaths, no "Castle is dead; call me The Punisher", none of that garbage, no explosions that form skulls, no complicated plots to have wives and best friends turned against you, no chit-chat; just methodical elimination please.
Brutal, vicious and merciless elimination at that.
We can discuss whether Castle is cinema-appropriate afterwards.

What is Punisher: The Violence level (heck yeah!)
What is not Punisher: Swinging from chandeliers and jumping 30 feet between buildings.

We're coming up on the day and I'm excited. I'm expecting a lot of sweet action, but I'm not sure if it will all fit with the character - it looks too flashy and action-hero in some parts, where as Castle just shows up and shoots people or blows things up and doesn't mess around with ropes like he was in Boondock Saints.

Thats one thing i do agree with you on the whole jumping across building scene is a little much.LOL!But ou have to remember The Punisher IS a pretty athletic guy.
