Diane Mitchell · 1 year agoI think the movie was delightful in every sense of the word . Gerry Butler and Hillary Swank worked wonderful together as the loving and arguing couple . I haven't seen a movie in a long time that was dellightful and sad at the same time . I commend the producer and director who put Gerard in the movie and with Hillary they couldn't have had a better match then both of them . Considering what is out there in fimdom , this movie was a rare relief from the constanat birrage of movies that are so alike and dull that boredom sets in with the preview's. Hollywood you have found a genuine real life nice guy , that happens to be an excellent actor also . He has the polish and he also has the roughness that rounds him out with the likes of great actors of the past . His sensitivity and passion and sexiness so not hurt either .

bobbyanna · 1 year agoThanks for the excellent review, Robin. I found it very helpful. This is one I was looking forward too, since I'm a sucker for schmaltz at this time of year. LOL!! I think I may have to wait to see it on DVD. I'm way too far behind on my movie watching these days. Anyone who ever saw the Scottish film, Dear Frankie, can attest to Gerard Butler's ability to deliver a nuanced performance that is subtle, tender, and appealing. Sounds like Hilary Swank was a bit lost in all those outfits. I guess I'll just have to wait for Nim's Island. Jodie Foster, Abigail Breslin and Gerard Butler.
