Mad Hatter would work well in Nolan's universe. It could all be blamed on electronics. Either that or some kind of mobster real-world version of the penguin.

As soon as I found out Burton was doing Alice, I knew Depp would get cast as the Mad Hatter. It seemed like the perfect role for him.
