The Dark Knight met praise akin to this, aside from the fact that those same people were mocking his extremely throaty voice.

This movie sounds like it'll be one of 2008's last great flicks - as long as Rourke doesn't adapt a raspy, three-packs-a-day-with-no-filters kind of sound.

I like how Beaks sort of says The Wrestler is good because Aronofsky abandoned his previous style choices. I've never liked D.A.

If Rourke nets a nom, and so does Ledger, it will make for an interesting and poignant Oscar season, with one dead nominee and one arisen from the dead.
