  • Leon Kennedy · 1 year ago
I for one am excited as ever... with this new footage... now that i can see it a lot
more clearly, opposed to the other footage you had up.... and thanks for this repost

i have watched it 4 times already :X, i have a good feeling and the direction that
synder is going with this movie, I think the thing behind zack is that hes very good
at make movies from sources extremely similiar and extremely close to the Core
Base of what it is. This time its Watchmen... last time u guys had a Comic
book/trailer video of the Trailer and comic book going through scene by scene.

It says a lot about his talents and i cannot wait for more footage and the actual
    movie

anybody think that atomic bomb might have something to do with the possible alternate ending??
  • Mike · 1 year ago
Who did the song for the trailer?
  • Trace · 1 year ago
    @ Mike

That's the Smashing Pumpkins, "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" or something.

And I am STOKED for this movie. Oh... I think I came a little.

mike ..... cmon man.... smashing pumpkins song

Which was originally released on the batman forever soundtrack

which was a terrible decision to put such a good song on that terrible movie

    Smashing Pumpkins - artist

The End is the Beginning is the End - Song name

The batman and Robin Soundtrack - Album

sadly its not on a good album like it should be...

Also, I paused at :19, thinking I could figure out if it was a trashed NY Dr. Manhattan and Laurie were teleporting to. I happened upon the blue man's dongle instead. Rated R for nudity - yeah, the wrong kind.

Who was ranting on about all the male junk being played on the silver screen? They haven't gone blue yet, have they?

Rorschach makes jumping onto a window look so cool...
  • Mladen · 1 year ago
I don't think the version of the song you hear in the trailer is the same one you hear on the batman and robin soundtrack though... some sort of different mix.

    This is gonna be awesome!!!!!
  • Bobby McPresscott · 1 year ago
The version in the trailer IS on the album. The first song on the B&R soundtrack is titled "The End is the Beginning is the End" and it is the heavy metal version that was in the music video. The last song on the album is "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning", and that is the slow version from the Watchmen trailer. It also has entirely different lyrics.

I was personally thrilled when it started playing in the first trailer. It's a very niche song as that version was never on the radio or anything. It's great to have it brought back for a much more worthy use.

The Atomic bomb is part of a dream sequence. It's in the book.
  • T · 1 year ago
    This movie looks great...can't wait!
  • Sage · 1 year ago
Yeah - the kiss atomic bomb moment is totally a dream. Arent they naked in the book?
  • Reg · 1 year ago
To Sage, isn't the movie is rated R? Besides if they gonna have Laurie (Malin) and Dan (Patrick) do that sex scene, I wouldn't be suprised to see Malin's boobs or Patrick's buttocks in the picture since they've done it on their previous movies (Malin did "Heartbreak Kid" w/ Ben Stiller and Patrick Wilson did "Little Children" w/ Kate Winslet).

For I'm really happy about this movie. This one bites all superhero movies (sorry Marvel, I did love the X-men movies). Ok ok who watched the trailer 10 times already?
  • random man · 1 year ago
OK. IT MUST BE SQUID FREE. In this trailer u see Dr. Manhattan transport Silk Spectre and
himself to a destroyed city. This means theres no squid, just a bomb.
  • Random Dude · 1 year ago
    Or it's on Mars.
  • Another Random Guy · 1 year ago
That would make sense as Laurie seems to gasp when they arrive, but then what is all that burning debris?
  • Random Dude · 1 year ago
I watched it again, and it's not Mars. I'm thinking its the point where Manhattan and Laurie teleport to New York, see everything is destroyed, and realize Veidt was behind everything. This scene is in the comic, so it doesn't tell us whether or not the squid is in the film, as the squid had already been killed by that point. If a bunch of nukes had gone off, I'm thinking Laurie wouldn't simply be "out of breath" or suffering from motion sickness or whatever.
  • Mladen · 1 year ago
Bobby McPrescott, Thanks for clearing that up, I must've only heard the first version in the music videos, didn't realise the cd came with two. Awesome.
  • Nick M. · 1 year ago
I think if Snyder has eliminated the squid (as everyone's calling it), he's made a major mistake, as that's one of the most memorable aspects of the entire novel. Granted, Veidt's idea to use a giant telepathic squid in the first place was kind of ridiculous, and leaves some unanswered questions (Such as, what if the psychic blast hadn't worked?), but taking it out would alter the plot dramatically and piss off a lot of fans. In any case, I haven't seen anything in any of the trailers to indicate Snyder's changed it. I'm really looking forward to this film, and will be seeing it the day it comes out.
  • Mladen · 1 year ago
Yeah, I'm not sure why we're assuming that there's no squid.
Snyder would have to be a moron to show it in the trailer since it gives away the ending. Give me squiddy.
