Red Dawn was and is one of my favorite movies, and I'm still in favor of this remake. I really don't know why exactly. I have Netflix streaming on my Roku box and watched it again last night (probably the umpteenth time I've seen it) it still hits a soft spot in my heart. It may be because it isn't a teen dramady, or because it was made on $1.50 and 2 Cheerios box tops, was made in the middle of the Cold War and showed us being invaded by Cubans who were being pushed into it by Russians. It just feels right.
