This movie looks so flat out awful. Since when was Irene Adler a hooker and Sherlock Holmes a homeless scruffy drug addict (as opposed to a respected clean shaven victorian drug addict gentleman) jumping out of the windows of Parliament into the thames only to then appear in the sewer boxing topless in what appears to be the original 1800s movie version of Fight Club.

Truthfully, if you read the original books, they sort of stay true to the form of Sherlock, or at least the parts the are showing via trailers. He on occasion did do drugs, as for Irene being a prostitute, that is new to me as well. I'm going to go see the movie just for the fun of it. You shouldn't put it down, mind you it IS a Guy Ritchie movie.

Who knew they could make Sherlock Holmes even gayer.

As a reader of pretty much every Sherlock Holmes book, I'm still looking forward to this abomination of the character.

I like RDJ but man, they make him look way too gay in that poster. Does he need to be all done up like that? He looks like he just walked off the runway.
