I definitely remember "They Call me Trinity" and "Trinity Is Still My Name" which were Spaghetti Westerns starring Terrence Hill and directed by Enzo Barboni. Considering they were fairly comedic at times, I wouldn't be surprised if "Bruce" was channeling a little bit of that.
