Twilight Saga: New Moon Sets Records, Hauls in $140 million
~ I can't wait to be 7 years old again !!!
GO SPEED GO!!
Typical of online movie sites.
You had me wondering for a moment, so I went back and checked our archives, to see
what my reactions were to the first trailer. It led me back to a post made in December,
where I had this to say in my introductory paragraph:
"... while it is hard to say whether the film will be great after only one trailer, it is easy to
see how some will be getting excited about this one."
I fail to see how that is "slamming" the film. In fact, I don't remember slamming this film
at any point. I feel as if we have always approached it with cautious optimism. Trust me,
everyone in the online community wants this film to be great, as we do with every film,
but we can see where it could go either way. As well, I believe that those sentiments are
echoed above, where I am sticking to the message of "looks like it could be awesome,
but lets wait and see..."
That's what I've been saying since the beginning. At least, as far as what I can see as I
read through our archives...
And even then, my attitude has always been "looks like it could suck, but let's wait and see" to be a converse of Neil's. Then again, there have been a lot of films I've seen over the years I was sure would suck and then I really liked, such as Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Still, I'm not gushing over anything Speed Racer just yet.
