I want to find a copy of the film before it was redone in the director cut.

The original version is so much better than the director's cut.I'm still not sure how Walter Hill thought adding in those comic book panels enhanced the film in any way.

i love this movie so so so very much. Had a socially ostracizing, yet incredibly accurate Furys halloween costume a few years ago, went to the MASSIVE warriors reunion/screening in coney island own anything and everything related to the film. As a native Manahttaner, I just love the snapshot of NY that is represents. It came out several years before my birth but I just love finding myself in the wee hour moments where I can almost see Swan in that little dark corner just out of sight. Pure love for this film.

I remember seeing this in the movie theater, yes I am that old, and since I was too young to have buffed pecs like the warriors its was a cinch to dress up for Halloween as a Fury.

Great movie, doubt it could be done today since all the gangs today don't have any style, its all about drugs and killing people for money.

The movie was considered cheesy, stupid and laughable when it came out. Typical cult classic story. By the way Rudy Giuliani got elected because Mayor Dinkins drove NYC to the brink, not because of some movie that was almost the equivalent of straight to DVD, or in this time period, straight to "drive in".

It was a joke, I guess an offensive one if you are a Giuliani historian...

I will never use his name in any joke, ever. But let me squeeze one out really quick. Do you know what is the toughest part about being a Rudy Giuliani historian?
