Film School Rejects: Movies We Love: Short Circuit

Fun Fact: I had never heard of Short Circuit until WALL-E came out and everybody immediately said it was a ripoff of Johnny 5. Still haven't seen it, so it might be worth checking out.

    Definitely. It's well worth it.

I picked it up when the Special Edition came out last year, and your comments are spot on about the dialouge. The woody comment totally got me, and I had to rewind it because i thought i was hearing things! Still holds up, almost better now....when I was a kid the moment that sold me was "Hey Laser Lips, your mother was a snow blower!", and now, quip abou this Woody....oh how I've matured.

As always, great article, SHORT CIRCUIT, always bring back fond childhood memories,
I even remember the sequel, where JOHNNY 5, is lured by some evil-doers into robbing a bank vault,

Among the most memorable (and cheesy) scene in the sequel was when JOHNNY 5, befriends a gang of exaggerated caricatured latinos called : THE LOS LOBOS!
The LOS LOBOs even had their theme song which went:
"LOS LOBOS kick your ass, LOS LOBOS kick your face!
LOS LOBOS kick your balls, into outer spaaaace!"

.....I cannot beleive I recollected that!

Oh, man. YES, I REMEMBER THE LOS LOBOS. That theme song was pure gold for a kid.

Or how about when Johnny-Five has his own makeover and gets himself some sweet chains and a mohawk.

When I first saw the picture of WALL-E, I thought of Short Circuit. Now thats a classic. Good versus evil. And the machine gets to become a citizen of the United States because he has more heart than most of it's natural habitants.

    And gold-plated. Don't forget that.

For the week of February in Sapporo skyscrapers were upstaged from buildings and statues of frozen best snow blower, forming the second Wednesday in uniform and Park streets in the lower limbs.
