Film School Rejects: Movie Style Guy: Guns Wanted

Chow Yun Fat's character in John Woo's The Killer is another notable user of the Colt 1911 .45.

And as wielded by Vinnie Jones, the Desert Eagle .50's intimidating heft was used to comic effect in Guy Ritchie's Snatch.

I feel more like a man after reading this.

While the Beretta is more common in the military at the moment the Colt .45 model 1911 is by far superior in both calibur and coolness. Not to mention more soliders are buying their own colts to carry in combat over the Beretta that is not as deadly as the movies have made it out to be. Having to pump multiple rounds into an opponent to drop him is not what I would call deadly. One shot drops from a Colt is much more deadly and sexy to boot.

If you know how to use a handgun it only takes one bullet to take down a target no matter the calibur 22 45 or 9mm I own all three. the beretta has far less recoil much lighter easyer to handle. Dont get me wrong I do enjoy the 45 but its a matter of skill not fire power.

This article is awesome, and reminds me of the old homesteads of Texas. But, it's pretty useless for me now since I live in the Nation's capitol, where, you know, we can't own guns...

    Taxation without representation, baby.

Cole for someone who lives in Washington, DC, you sure don't pay attention to the Supreme Court enough. Just this morning they said you can own guns! Huzzah! Granted for that to actually come into practice will probably be some time, but soon, friend. Soon.

yeah morgan freeman calls it the emmineshy 17 (sorry about the spelling) but wesley's inherited weapon is sick, if anyone knows more about it let me know!?!?!!

While I agree that skill is a deciding factor in any gun fight the other factor to take into account is body armor. The 9mm parabellum round is not able to penetrate most forms of body armor, while the .45 cal round will. Ask the cops in California when they took on the two gun men that ribbed the bank of america branch with automatic weapons and body armor. The most they cold do was inflict wounds on the extremeties which are not quick kills.

this is one of the moments I hate my age. I'm 14 and I live in Holland so I must be at least 18 to buy a wapon, but I will have to move to another country to buy a gun (legal).
