Film School Rejects: Movie Style Guy: A Touch of Class

I remember him in some movie in the late 80's with the girl from Valley Girl. He had some major mental issues in the movie, and was a bit OCD. He fell for the Valley Girl chick, but they couldn't make it work cause they were both so screwed up. What the heck was that movie? Anyhoo, he was always a good dorky kind of character. I could see him being a down to earth dude.
