Film School Rejects: More Than Enough: The First 11 Minutes of Uwe Boll’s Postal

  • Robert Fure · 1 year ago
I'm going to buy this movie and review the fuck out of it just because I want to go against the grain on this one. YOU HEAR THAT, UWE!!? You owe me your 27cents residual payment on this disc.
  • SUPERJUNK · 1 year ago
Who the hell is funding this mo fo. And why are people buying his movies!!!! Seriously the guy is killing so many movie titles that could be good. Im ashamed of you Robert Fure im ashamed.

Hey... uh... I guess I'm a total asshole. But I sort of laughed my ass off at the scene in the cockpit at the beginning. I mean, it was the worst combination of Quentin Tarantino meets David Zucker meets the Farrelly Brothers... but by God... I laughed.

I don't think it's Uwe Boll that Dave Foley is taking his pants off for.
  • Vin · 1 year ago
What self-respecting Arab would take a role in a movie like this?
  • Kevin Carr · 1 year ago
Having seen most of Uwe Boll's films, I have to say this was his best yet...

but then again, that doesn't say much.

I'm in agreement with Mister Hand here, I laughed heartily. During the interview scene as well. I've just been riding the Uwe Boll hate train, and maybe I shouldn't be. Granted, I've seen a few of his flops myself, namely Blood Rayne, but these eleven minutes weren't so bad.

@Vin - One who can take a joke? One who has the personality of the people this movie was aimed for? One who's still not so tied up on 9/11, or any other "politically incorrect" crap this movie might contain?

I've never been one to hate on Uwe, I've just stayed clear of his movies, they do me no harm. So I guess I was more open to this than most people would be. Yes, what I'm trying to say is that I've seen the full movie. And yes... I actually kind of liked it.

It's certainly better than the Scary\Epic\Superhero\Whateverthehell Movies. Not saying much, but hey, it's gotta be worth something. Right?

I'll admit I laughed a bit. I think it just frustrates me that there's always something terribly low-rent about everything he makes. Not tech-wise, writing-wise. The pacing on that interview scene made me want to throw my monitor down a hill just get some forward momentum going.

His films are always so close to being Not Completely Terrible. If the guy would get a decent script doctor and an editor that could keep the pacing tighter, he might actually make a movie that's Halfway Decent.

I dunno, this doesn't seem terrible. It looks more watchable then Epic Movie.

True to my word I bought Postal. I haven't submitted myself to its glory yet. I will watch it and review and that review shall run on Friday. So say I!

hey guys, its MikeJ from Running With Scissors (the developers of the POSTAL game series)...Uwes movie is definately not terrible and its academy award worthy compared to some of his past movies...i do promise youll laugh quite a few times throughout the flick...

I've seen uwe boll's videogame-based movies and i have to say that this movie looks ever so slightly better than those crap ones.
  • spiderphile · 1 year ago
I personally have seen the full version of this film, I thought it wasn't all that bad sure it was a horrible movie in all regards but its so bad it's good kind of like "Team America" not the best movie by far but I still got a good laugh.
I have to say the part where Uwe meets his well deserved demise is my favorite part.
  • Television Spy · 1 year ago
I don't believe any Arabs were in it, judging from the lead up and the cast pictures it looked a lot like some really bad accents mixed with black/brown face makeup. There's no reason to get upset because no one will ever see this cinematic abortion.
  • MikeJ · 1 year ago
the guys in the cockpit at the beginning were also the guys that played 2 of the terrorists in Munich....fyi!
  • Darcanis · 1 year ago
Actually Verne Troyer gets raped by a thousand monkeys...
Doesn't look too happy about it either... They were bigger than him.
  • Jeff · 1 year ago

This is awesome! Money in the bank!

It's pretty funny how all these people watch the trailer with an "I HATE UWE" mentality. He's not the best director, but this was actually decent and I don't think any of you anti-Uwes have even watched the entire movie.
  • Andrew · 1 year ago
I saw this movie at its premier at the Montreal Fantasia festival last summer . I never even
heard of Uwe Ball till my friend convinced me to go see this and it had to be the worst
movie i ever saw . The first 11 mins were the best part of the movie and thats not saying
    much.
  • terr · 1 year ago
Just want to see the movie because Dave Foley is my favorite actor / comedian.
  • Aaron · 1 year ago
i was on the bandwagon, although never seeing any of the movies simply cus the trailers looked bad. But the interview scene in this was hilarious. "How would you move a mountain with a spoon?"
  • 2pac · 1 year ago
That was pretty funny. Never saw a movie from Uwe only heard via the internets how bad they are. But from the looks of these first 11 minutes the film is not that bad. just hope they didn't use up all the good jokes in these first 11 minutes. Btw Its worth looking up the whole conflict between him and his critics especially the video where he fights his critics in a boxing match! Fucking hilarious.

What the hell? Damn dude, because of shit like this I bet you guys already think I'm a terrorist just because of my f***in name.
  • Tom · 1 year ago
Man, nerds need to get over theyselves. If anyone else had made this eleven minutes people would be going "that's quite clever and well made". Certainly on technique alone it's far better than the majority of DTV comedy.
  • Matt · 1 year ago
That wasn't terrible at all, heads were a nice side joke.
  • Charles · 1 year ago
I've only become familiar with Uwe Boll recently, and I've never seen any of his movies. I see a certain genius lurking beneath the surface.
  • Aj · 1 year ago
"What self-respecting Arab would take a role in a movie like this?" I hope your joking....
  • Robert Fure · 1 year ago
Osama Bin Laden in the movie is played by a Jewish guy.
