Boiling Point: Twilight

I haven't seen the love guru yet, but i heard it wasn't that bad. When you go into a movie
like this don't expect Oscar material. Just go to have a good time.
It would be awesome to see him play a real person for a change, like he did in So I Married an Axe Murderer. No crazy time travel, no ridiculous faux-Indian upbringing, just a normal funny guy dealing with an extraordinary situation.
Which, whoa, brings me to a deeper concern. I just realized that Meyers essentially switched his comedic method midstream, going from normal characters in extraordinary circumstances to wacky characters in normal circumstances. Both seem to have worked for him, but Christ in a handbag does he get annoying after a while doing the latter.
Why not do a Wayne's World 3 at this point? Austin Powers 3 was awful, the Love Guru wasn't even worth seeing, and as it stands the shine has worn off of Meyers' career.
Maybe if they could come up with some new material, hire some decent writers to steer the film in a better direction, then it could work.
Now that I've typed and read that last sentence, I realize that it'll never happen.
I truly loved it and I have written several movie articles for my local newspaper The Cornish times. although the movie I must admit was not as snappy as Autin powers. I still find it to be better than Wains world which was so painfull to watch I nearly drilled my eyes out! in responce to Zilla's post I must say your comment on Mike Myres being non relevant was much too harsh as he is after all a fellow human being and none of us ever lose our shine but meerly misplace it even those of us who are resentful and spitful.
