Ryan Gosling would be a good choice for Hal Jordan, maybe even Alan Scott (the old school G.L.); hes got the acting chops, the look. he just needs to bulk up a bit, a la Ryan Reynolds.
i dont know, but I liked Common for the Jon Stewart G.L..
James Marsden for the Kyle Rayner character; he's got to get more work, totally underrated.

James Marsden is indeed underrated but the problem there is that he's already played Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, in the Xmen movies. I'd think it would be awkward to then see him in another superhero role. It's GOT to be either Alan Scott or, preferably IMO, Hal, but I'd love to Ryan Reynolds as Guy.

If James Marsden isn't a good choice because of his previous work as Cyclops, do you think that applies to Ryan Reynolds who is set to become Deadpool?

I like Sean William Scott as Guy, but would Hugo Weaving as Sinestro be overkill or uber-cool? Oh, and Nathan Fillion IS Hal Jordan!

Well now seeing as how "Green Lantern" was my favorite comic when I was a kid (pre-teen angst anyone?) and I'm still somewhat of a fanboy, I'd like to see this.

This is awesome news and Martin Campbell is an awesome director. Green Lantern needs and deserves a director as good or better than Christopher Nolan if at all possible especially being that there will be so much CGI and special effects in this movie. Bradley Cooper seems ok for this role with maybe even a small cameo of "Common" as John Stewart before he becomes a member of the GLC. On another note Daniel Craig for one more 007 movie then bring on CHEWITEL EJIOFOR as the new 007 James Bond.
