It's a shame the guy got shot, but like you said, Neil, maybe this will convince people to STFU in a theater.
Who's bringing thier kids to see Benjamin Button anyway?

That's Philly for ya! You would be surprisd how many "CHILDREN" dictate to their parents what they want to see at the movies. I left the theatre the other day and overheard a mom tell her son, "No 13 yr old of mine is going to the movies alone". I don't know what's worse the kids talking or the "ADULTS" taking a stupid non emergency phone call. Where is Ms. Manners when you REALLY need her?

I agree that the incident is definitely messed up. But I find it hilarious (and insane) that he just sat back down and watched the movie til the cops showed up. Why did it have to be Philly?

I wouldn't necessarily call the guy my hero, but I can't say that thought hasn't crossed my mind before in a theater. The weirdest part of this story is that he shot the guy in the arm, then sat down like it'd be totally cool. I guess that's one way to clear a theater.

Of course, I was once at a press screening and told the folks behind me to shut up, and the father of the kids that were babbling the whole time threatened to punch me out right there in the theater. I thought he was going to shoot me.

But yeah, no shooting by lil' ol' me. I did, however, tell some obnoxious kids in Oxnard, California to STFU while we were watching Tomb Raider 2. I thought one of the girls was going to pee herself.

Thats awsome. Not so much that he shot the guy, but the fact that he sat back down and continued to watch the movie. Balls of steel.

Whatever happened to the city of brotherly love?

I prefer to just carry a rag soaked in Chloroform ... needed to apply two applications to a guy in LOTR3 ... stupid 10 endings

The city of brotherly love is also the same city that booed Santa Claus. So ... there's that.

Damn.... personally I don't think I would have taken it that far.I hate it when people talk through a movie that you've payed your hard earned dollars to watch in the first place.Their was an situation when I was trying to watch Quantom of Salace their was a annoying ass teenager sitting way in the back, causing such a racket. After about 20 min. in the words of Popeye "I cant stands no more" so I told that little shit "Hey!!! Either shut the f@#k up,or I'll go back there and beat the horse-shit out of you!!!"I swear to God I was about to go John Mclane and shoe beat his ass .But after that he kept his mouth shut for the rest of the movie.
