It's an excellent pairing of director and material, considering Alfredson is known to be very conservative when it comes to his tastes, with an impeccable sense for details. It will be very interesting to hear about who they will cast. Have you seen the BBC version with Alec Guinness? Great stuff, with several appearances of the British acting elite of the time. Highly recommended.

A small correction, though - Let the Right One In was not Alfredsons debut film. He'd made several with the Swedish comedy troupe The Killing Gang before this one, among them a four hour marathon film called Four Shades of Brown.

D'oh! You are of course correct... I would argue your home-field advantage, but a simple check of IMDB on my part would prevented the error. It's been corrected.
