It feels like it would make a great show, im not sure there is a market for a full feature film though. If they plan to release this after origins and magneto there will be an expectation that I dont think this could live up too.

As a tv show I think it would be great, but it could perhaps be labeled as a heroes rip off.

I could go for a Smallville type Xmen show ... as long as they look to the earlier seasons for inspiration and not the crap that has been on the last few seasons (except Lois "Hottie" Lane)

Or perhaps it would be the show that Heroes wishes it could be... :P

Oooo ... you hear that NBC ... step up!

That would be a huge nightmare if this dude's making the screenplay. This ain't no teeny bop goody-goody make-out fest kind of story. It's the freakin X-Men, superheroes and superpowers and a whole lotta geek stuff in it.
    Hollywooooooood!!!!

I have a feeling that they will want to stay in the same Universe that has already been created. (At least I hope they will anyway) If that is the case they may have to stick with the laws of continuity, which will mean no Iceman, Rogue, Shadowcat, but younger versions of Beast, Jean, Cyclops, Storm etc. I don't see the point in creating an X-Men Universe and setting spin-offs within that timeline (Wolverine 15 years before X1, Magneto showing before X-Men creation) Just to have a reboot a few years later, telling us to forget that timeline and focus on a new one.

Pardon my french but FUCK THAT. I am so tired of reboots, get some balls you gutless wonders in hollywood and make an adult oriented super hero movie. Show the X-Men doing what they do best, fighting other mutans that want to destroy or subjugate makind. Bring in the Sentinals and start a true story arc that will be as epic as Lord of the Rings. Have some real relationships where they have the problems like how sleeping with a member of your team affecting the way you deal with them in dangerous situations.

I am going to be 80 friggin years old before they even get them to actually put together the team and work as a force.

I dunno, Kirk. I was an OC watcher and the character Seth was a huge comic nerd. In Season Two (I think) he even created his own comic book. That's not to say that this series will be good or bad, but only to suggest that maybe Schwartz isn't a horrible idea for the project.

Ehh I don't know about that Liam. This is a "Marvel Knights" production, the same being used for Punisher:Warzone... so it looks like this could be an all knew continuity, all knew reboot.

Looking forward to this movie actually. NO WOLVERINE!!!!! That is awesome, so maybe it will not suck! Can we just skip the Wolverine origin movie then? Yawn. Man, I hope this movie sees the light of day and DOES NOT SUCK! A Smallville-type show would be cool too... but I like the big screen.
