I agree- I think people will show up in hordes whether or not the reviews are good. And not in that wondering-if-Stallone-can-still-do-it effect of Rocky Balboa (which I'm sure should be added to your list) but because the trilogy movies are so much fun. Plus, Harrison Ford still looks good.

I can't knock Rocky IV--it had Ivan Drago and the "Hearts on Fire" montage. Besides, we all know Rocky IV ended the Cold War...

As for Rambo's 4th installment named "Rambo" -- Haven't seen it yet, so maybe we'll amend this list when the time approaches.

I don't think any movie is review-proof. And I agree the numbers will be huge, Phantom Menace's number were HUGE, but I'm talking more about the Indiana Jones legacy being tarnished, like those other franchises were with a 4th film.

as for the new Indiana Jones, it seems like the recipe of a good Indiana Jones film would be 1 part Nazis and 1 part Biblical Artifact... the Soviet army does a pretty good job of replacing the Nazis, but the other ingredient...
