It's all about being in the right place at the right time.

Now he can get a leg up and turn his fortunes around.

    You said it, man.

That's the best part about this story. He's got a solid amount of money all at one time - enough to get himself a "flat" - which I still believe means something like "Rolls Royce" although it's a loose translation - and he's trying to get honest work.

It's shocking how easily an honest man can get so far down on his luck sometimes. Glad to see him turn it around.

really...so what does "tramp" and "dossing down" mean? :P
  • jack2jack · 10 months ago
"dossing down" means doss is about. So it's about to get ready for bed/sleep for the night. Tramp is long term homlessness. What we call transients, homeless who shift from one place to another.
