Twilight and High School Muscial were my 2 picks for worst film and worst other film last year....

Mtv is run by some of the most retarded production wannabees in the business.
I've worked with them I've delt with the dorks that have responsablity there. The place is run by fools. :-)

I watched it for Andy Samburg and He was funny but I was disgusted with the over the top ASS Kissing of The Twilight Craze. thats why teens are ruining Movies and Music nowadays. Todays Music Sucks and so does MTV. And could someone explain if the Bruno 69ing Eminem was supposed to be real or a skit cause if it was a skit I seriously Question our society.

sigh... Maybe it's just 'cause I'm turning 38 in 2 months, but this sounds like it was more a popularity contest than a true awards show. My 11yo daughter's started watching MTV... this just makes me think I should turn on our V-chip and block it. lol

Oh gees... people, really.... since when have the MTV Movie awards (or any MTV awards for that matter) truly been taken seriously? Slumdog was the underdog film of the year, went on to win all sorts of big awards, yadda yadda. It was a good movie. Good for them. Twilight is nowhere near Slumdog status, in quality or really anything else. If you ask any fan (except for the squealing teenie-boppers who will surely argue you to the death) I’m sure they'd honestly tell you, Twilight really kind of sucked. It was just cool to see it as a movie - and hell, it gave us Robert Pattinson.

This was a little film, by an up and coming company, who happened to hit upon a huge fan base, which is extremely rare and very lucky. I doubt anyone knew going into this how Twilight would catch on like wildfire. Twilight fans, most being of a good natured sense of humor (not counting the crazy ones) knew this was Twilight's only chance to really win anything remotely big all year. What else could we win? Oscars? The graphics were...just, no. The acting...pffffft....ha-ha, no. Nothing much would garner this film any major awards, say for those which be fan voted. And that's okay. Nothing against the people who worked on Twilight, I’m sure they worked just as hard as anybody. But this was all just in good fun and the fans knew that. With that being said, as someone who hasn't watched MTV or the Movie Awards in years, I was glad that it was actually funny and not a total waste of two hours of my life.

at one time I felt like the the Mtv movie awards was the place where Summer Blockbusters would get the respect that the academy chose to ignore. Sure The wrestler and Slumdog were great movies but so was Ironman and then all these screaming teenagers ignore what this award show was created to be and clean sweeped the award with Twilight. Ugh I never thought that MTV would Suck as much as it does. since Sci Fi is changing their name why don't MTV change their name to Hills Tv thats all thats ever that channel. I applaud the guy thats wants to turn on his vchip. That's being a responsible parent who doesnt want his kids to turn out to be the brainless douches that are on MTV. Good for you Sir.

The MTV Movie Awards are totally fixed but, sure are fun to watch. Like when Jim Carrey won for best comedic performance... nobody who watches MTV now even watched Yes Man. But, I knew he was going to win because he seemed to be the only old-school A-Lister that was in the audience and up for an award. MTV does this every year at their movie awards with old school A-Listers. I wish I can point out who/when specifically but, just know this - if someone Old School Big A-List (not talking current Teenie Bop A-List) is in the audience and they're up for an award for a film that wasn't that great... they're gonna win.

alright now i havent seen twilight idk how good it is it might b a really good movie (or so says all the chicks...) but really...beating the Dark Knight? i mean Dark knight broke records its first weekend in theaters but all and all.......THERE WOULDNT B A SWINE FLU IF WE TREATED OUR PIGS BETTER
