Film School Rejects: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to Be Split Into 2 Films

  • Marina · 1 year ago
I haven't read it so I may not be the best person to comment but they've managed to go this far leaving out loads of material so what's to stop them now? To me, this sounds like a lame ass excuse to make an extra movie and hence more money. Anyway they try to cover it, it still sounds to me like a blatant money grab.
  • Tyler · 1 year ago
Regardless of whether or not it makes them more money, it's a better choice if it results in a better story. I'm expecting the movie(s) to tell the story, and I'm willing to pay $20 for movie tickets instead of $10 if that happens. There's nothing wrong with movie studios making better money in exchange for making better movies.
  • Tina · 1 year ago
Are you kidding me? So much vital character development has been left out of Order of the Phoenix, and if the Half Blooded Prince is anywhere near as long, more plot will be lost.

Deathly Hallows being split into two parts is probably the best news I've gotten since Harry was made Ron made the quiddich team... but yet again, people don't know that in the movies because they've left huge things out. I think that the next two movies are going to have a hard time explaining things because so much was left out of OP.

Yay part one and two. Yay to Harry Potter's voice dropping and octave between leaving Privot Drive and fighting Voldemort.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!! They better do this for #6 too. It would be so smart. I hated how short they made HP5. It felt like a preview. Well, no matter, maybe in 80 years they'll remake the series with all the newest cinema technology, and they'll be smart enough to break 4-5-6-7 into halves.
  • peter gusztav · 1 year ago
great article, hope it becomes two seperate sections, i posted this with insights to harry 6 on my blog, http://www.opentopix.com/topic/movies/harry-pot...
  • Abel · 1 year ago
Now, I have not read any of the books, but I have seen every single one of the films.

There is too much character development that is being dropped on the cutting room floor in order to make it watchable for normal movie goers. This happens to be something that all book to film adaptations face. As for Order of the Phoenix, I felt that it ended too soon with huge gaps in the storytelling. Thanks to the aforementioned statement. I loved the film, but there needs to be either longer cuts, or as we may see for part 7, two parts of one long film. I believe the latter is more desirable for both Harry Potter fans and the powers that be.

May we, the Potter fans, readers and movie goers alike be given the chance to witness an adaptation as it should be...Great!
  • Britta · 1 year ago
I'd love for them to break the last book into two parts... I'll be so sad when the series finishes... more movies are better! ;-)
  • Michelle · 1 year ago
I agree with what the others who approve of this decision have stated. Splitting the last movie will definitely improve the plot and leave fans pleased. I was afraid they would devalue much of the seventh book. There is so much going on within the plot, character development, and overall conclusion of the last portion of Harry Potter's story. I'm so excited about the future Potter movies. They are going to be excellent!
  • jayson · 1 year ago
seven = hepta so I'm thinking it's the Harry Potter Heptalogy. :D but in the movies I guess
    it's going to be octalogy!
  • Jon · 1 year ago
I'm personally waiting for the BBC version of the movie, the one where they actually depicit all the books in their entirety.
  • Oh yeah · 1 year ago
I think they should make the last book into a trilogy of trilogies! That's right, nine (count
'em baby), nine movies that revel in the gloriocitude of all things Potteresque! Rather than,
take stuff out of the books to fit the film, they should add stuff to them and make even
more films! New characters, new plot lines, a prequel (and Dumbledore origins story)! They
should also be directed by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and George Lucas and Francis
Ford Copola in a fantasmic re-imagining of epic proportions.
  • Keith · 1 year ago
and it should be in 4-D (yes, 4).
and one should come out each month.
  • sarah · 1 year ago
I'm interested by you saying it should 'at least' double the takings. I would have thought it would more likely 'maybe just about double'. I don't see that dividing it would make more people go and see both movies, historically such a move decreases takings for each individual film. But anyway, I'm splitting hairs.

My personal preference would be for them to make one big, long, awesome epic movie. A la LOTR directors cut. Shame the kidlets won't sit still for long enough.
  • itemforty · 1 year ago
I am absolutely excited that they split this movie into two pieces. Not only are there too many things to cover within the book, but they have a lot of stuff to focus on that they left out of other books that they have to compensate for to keep the movie from being really confusing (like the other Weasleys). Of course, the movie probably won't be very good, but it's exciting all the same.
  • Mindset · 1 year ago
Wow you'd think they make enough money already...
  • Fin · 1 year ago
The dreck from Deathly Hallows should be cut. The so-called "character development" scenes in which only the three primaries appear are nearly insufferable in print, but at least these pages could be skipped. Such scenes in a movie would serve only as a nice moment to take a bathroom break.
  • Nick · 1 year ago
I'm with Fin. The whole middle section with just Harry, Ron and Hermione is really dreary and could be mostly cut down to about 10 minutes on film. Could have probably shredded 150 pages in the book honestly too. Whining and moseying about the forrest are NOT character development, they're just wasted space.
  • Carlie · 1 year ago
I am very happy to hear they will be splitting the film. I wish that they would have made each of the films longer in order to incorporate more of the details from the books. JK Rawling is an amazing writer and had all of the books plotted out from the beginning, there are parts from book 1 that make sense finally in book 7, but those who only go to the movies don't get to see the true literary genius behind it as the directors choose to leave so much out. The people who truly want to see the books come to life on the big screen would definitely go see all of the movies no matter their length.
  • Jeff · 1 year ago
Simply a way to screw more money out of the public on this franchise, they are probably kicking themselves for not thinking of it earlier. They could easily make the film long enough to incorporate all the plot material and special effects and make it into a two-dvd issue, as with all the special extended editions of the Lord of The Rings Trilogy - but no, this way they double the taking s for one film while not having to spend any extra money making it into two as the things will simply be split in any case to make it into two films.

    Pure greed, pure and simple
  • B-ham · 1 year ago
I don't know why they can't just make the movie longer. Remember Titanic? They made that sucker 4 hours!! Why can't they just do that again? In my eyes that would be the best way to go, but I suppose I would take 2 movies instead of a chop job.
  • Jimmy · 1 year ago
Yes I love this idea and I am glad that they are doing it. I know that the reason that they are doing this is because it is the last one and they want to milk it for all that it is worth. Anyway having two halves instead of just one would make for such a better movie.
  • Araina · 1 year ago
I do see places where they could cut from the film, the time spent in the different forests with the three could be cut into minutes. However, there are still going to be too many other scenes that are vital to the story that wont fit into a 2 hour 30 minute film. I don't understand why they can't make it 2 hours and 50 minutes or so. Other much more boring and dragging movies lasted longer than that so why not? I think about 3 hours and 10 minutes would allow enough time for everything to be squeezed in. OOTP was much too short and left out vital parts that were in the book. It is too bad that they had to make it so short when it was the longest book of all of them. However, I wouldn't complain if they split the last movie into 2. That would be good too.
  • BlasterQ · 1 year ago
Those who don't support the splitting of book 7 to two movies are not real Harry Potter fans and probably never read the books.
In fact for me, they could've made books 3 to 7 into two books each, that would've been much much better.
  • Amy · 1 year ago
Deathly Hallows ABSOLUTELY needs two parts. That's the best thing I've heard all year.
  • Dakota · 1 year ago
I won't lie, I thin I fell out of my chair when I heard the news. The only thing they can do is make DH into two parts. That or make it four hours long, like B-Ham says. But while I'm sure money is involved somewhere in the equation, I think a two-parter has more to do with preserving the integrity of the books. Yes, they've messed up in the past with previous films, but I think the filmakers are trying to make up for that with the last movie. Plus, they wont have to worry about angry fans. Any true Potterhead will GLADLY sit through nine hours of movie just to see their favorite books played out on screen. I would too. Now all we need is to hear that DH will be rated 'R'. Because honestly, can you put the amount of violence and death that's in that book into a PG-13 rated movie? I think not...
  • Brownie · 1 year ago
I literally jumped for joy when I heard the news, I was overjoyed!!!!!!

To not make Deathly Hallows into 2- films would nothing less than OOTP all over again!

True Potter fans would sit through as many hours as the movie producers and directors can stand to film!!!!!

Please give us two DH films, everyone wants to see the entire book played out, every character, every creature, every tiny detail would not go unnoticed and cherished by a true Potter fan!

Oh and to the people posting comments about it being greedy and all about money, well who cares! It's not greed if people truly want them to make two movies, if you think it's greedy then don't go and see it, I'm sure the movies will do fine at the box office without you.
  • AJAY · 1 year ago
I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD SPLIT THE LAST MOIVE UP I'VE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR A LONG TIME.... AND I LOVED THE 5TH MOIVE BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN IT BECAUSE THEY RUSHED EVERYTHING AND CHANGE ALOT ...AND THE WAY JK WRITES ITS THE LITTLE THINGS ALONG WITH THE BIG THINGS THAT MAKE THE BOOKS GOOD LIKE I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE SCENE WHERE SIRIUS GAVE HARRY THE MIORR THEN WHEN HE DIES HARRY TRIES TO TALK TO HIM THROUGH IT OR THE PART AT THE END WHERE MALFOY CONFORNTS HARRY ABOUT HIS FATHER IT WOULD GIVE PEOPLE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE HATERED THEY FELL ONE ANOTHER IN THE 6 MOVIE(HINT HINT NEED ALL HARY AND MALFOY CONFRONTATIONS) SO T0 MAKE THINGS SHORT I THINK THAT THE 6 MOVIE SHOULD BE THE LONGEST MOVIE YET 2+HR AND I THINK THAT THE 7TH MOVIE SHOULD BE TWO PARTS WITH LIKE A 15 MIN INTERMISSION LIKE A PLAY BECAUSE IF ANY HARRY POTTER MOVIE WAS 5HR ARE LONGER I WOULD BE THEIR BRCAUSE THEIR SHOULD BE NO TIME LIMIT ON HARRY POTTER AND ANY TRUE HARRY POTTER FAN WILL FELL THE SAME WAY .....IF THEY DO MAKE TWO PARTS TO DH PLEASE DONT SEPARTE THEM LIKE A YR APART OR SOMETHING KEEP IT TOGETHER I THINK THE BEST WAY IS A INTERMISSION.... IN 2010 I WILL BE 19 STILL GOING TO SEE HARRY POTTER ON OPENING DAY BECAUSE I LUZ HARRY POTTER THAT MUCH
  • AJAY · 1 year ago
AJAY BACK AND I HAVE TO SAY THAY I AGREE WITH TINA THEY HAVE CUT SO MUCH OUT OF THE MOIVES I-5 ESPICALLY 5 I DONT KNOW HOW THEY ARE GOING TO FIX THIS BECAUE IF DEATHLY HALLOWS NOT 2 PART THEY WOULDREALLY HAVE TAKEN ALL THE MAGIC OUT OH HARRY POTTER.... I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD COME OUT WITH LKE A HARRY POTTER DELETED SCENES MOVIE WHERE THEY MAKE UP ALL THE REALLY IMPORTANT SCENES THAT TIES INTO MOVIE 7 ARE THE COULD LIKE DO "FLASHBACKS THAT NEVER HAPPEN" IN DEATHLY HOLLOWS BUT THAT WOULD TAKE ALOT OF CREATIVITY NEVER MIND DONT DO THAT THEY MIGHT MESS UP THE LAST MOVIE
  • Dylan · 1 year ago
I think it would be a great idea. I mean if the finished product is better and more accurately follows the book then I see no problem to it. I guess the only issue would be the two films being released so far apart. And like the company said it would make them more money, which is something anyone would love.
  • johaisi · 1 year ago
i think that they should split the movie into to parts be i have to agree with brownie a true harry potter fan will sit in the theater for hours and hours to watch the movie.I read all the books and they let alot of things out especially in the order of the phoenix and that would suck if the same thing happened with deathly hallows
  • Justin · 1 year ago
I think splitting the film into two parts is brilliant! ive never seen a movie adapted from a book split into two halves before. and alot of things in DH are kind of slow but important to the story and i believe have to be in there for things to make sence later on. like i found the couple months Harry, Ron, and Hermione stayed in the forests switching around camping for forever trying to get horcruxes rather boring but there are parts in there that are important to make things make sence later on in the movie. i am dissapointed Bill and Fluer wont be in movies #6 or 7 they never introduced bill Rons oldest brother in the earlier films so they cant just introduce him now they've dug themselves to deep :S
but i think splitting the film into two parts is going to be brilliant!
and i cant wait for # 6 my whole family who has read all the harry potters say # 6 was their least favorite
but i on the other hand think #6 is my favorite out of the 7!
Sorry if i gave away spoilers in this comment....
  • Justin · 1 year ago
by the way Snape's my favorite character anyone agree? (im talking to those whom read #7 of course)
  • Justin · 1 year ago
and the problem with the deleted scenes movie is that the actors grew up and that it would be much to difficult and impossible and improbable to go back while Daniel Radcliffe's like 19 Years old and do old HP sorcerers stone deleted scenes. that would be idiotic. its different when everyones an adult and don't have as many physical changes in their appearance every year as in when they went back and did deleted scenes in the Lord of the Rings series. but i'm almost positive that their not going to make any kind of deleted scenes movie and go back and make new scenes added on. now they do have special edition DVD's with deleted scenes in the special features. whether they have directors cut editions (were they add the deleted scenes within the movie as it plays; as if they never took them out) i do now know. but yes there are HP deleted scenes out there. and yes they took out loads from #5 and #5;s movie definatly wasn't yo appealing to me. so far the 3rd movie has been my favorite and the 6th book my favorite book. i really hope the 6th movie is great. im looking forward to hearing Lavender Brown screaming "WON-WON!" at Ron :)
  • Nicole · 1 year ago
This is the best news ever! The fifth movie didn't do the book justice and I've been kind of worried about the seventh movie because there's no way it would be done justice unless it were 4 hours so being split into 2 parts is a great idea! I don't care either if the tickets are more expensive it's definitely worth it because the book was so amazing and the movie needs to include everything as well. I hope they go through with it, I know they'll make the fans a lot happier if they actually do the book justice.
  • Emma · 1 year ago
I think this would work better than having one. Every part of the last book is important, so it would be stupid to miss it out. If you have read the books, and are a fan of Harry Potter, you will think it needs to be split into two lol. People who havent read it.. you dont know how important it is to get every detail. Believe me.
  • Allycat · 1 year ago
I Really hope that they will make it into two parts and release on different weekends. It worked for the matrix and Killbill why not. I hope so! I am really getting upset at the information or lack there of being lost in between movies. you only get the whole picture from the books. Show some justice Warner Brothers! you owe it to the fans.
  • abass · 1 year ago
i do love the film and i hope thsi will be very intrestin to watch.and also they re doing a good job.
  • charly · 1 year ago
Of course I like that idea, I like that the First Part could be until Harry and Hermione enter in Godric's Hollow, and the Second Part, the Rest.

It will be interesting, because the first ending with Ron and Hermione angry with them sad, and the second Ron return and that would be brilliant.

The part that most want to see in this movie, is the time that I have waited since the Third Book, the time at which Ron and Hermione kiss finally

    Okay, that's my opinion ...
  • jessie · 1 year ago
i love the movie and the book to but they are not as scary as i thougt they wold
  • chloe · 1 year ago
i defenatly think they should split the 7th movie in 2... i have read the 7th 1 bout 20 times now and there is just way to much info to fit into 1 movie and to take any out would be very disapointing and it wouldnt make much sence...
  • Annie · 1 year ago
I guess its ok.. kind of suckish that we have to wait longer to see the other half.. but i have one question... where the heck are they gonna end the first half at??? and i wonder how they will do it.. but i think that it is necessary because if they would chop it up like they did with OOTP there would be havoc in the Harry Potter fanworld.
  • court · 1 year ago
i am alittle disappointed that the book is going to be 2 movies. i just really don't want to have to wait a year to see the "part 2" of harry potter dh. of course being the potter fan i am i will wait and go see both parts but i think in one way its more money and in another way, i don't want to go through another ootp sitting in the threater for like 5 hours on opening might at midnight. i am so excited to see how they split this without making fans mad. i think people are now going to want to see every little detail, but not all the boring stuff in the middle....i just hope that they treat this like 1 book and not 2 seporate ones...
  • Amber · 1 year ago
i don`t know how they are going to do the movies without rons older bothers because why would they be in the forest without flur and bill's wedding i am totally excied for the dh movie's i think that its a really good idea to spilt them into 2. and they should have done it before there were things that i wanted to see that weren`t in the movies like in the order of the pheonix where hermione and harry were in the forest and grumy says to hermione " hermy where hagey" i wanted to see that so bad and it wasn`t in there i was really disaponted but i love harry potter so much i have read all to the book like 8 time each and right now working through them a ninth time ........ can`t wait for the next movie :)
  • Master Dash Sebastian · 1 year ago
I would love to see a Harry Potter movie that doesn't have a whole bunch of things taken out of it. So I'm all for this whole 2-part movie thing, but I don't want to have to wait a year just to finish a movie. Again, I'm all for it and I can't wait.

    MDS
  • Stephen · 1 year ago
i dont mind them splitting the 7th movie. But.....the only thing i hate about all these frickin movies is that they left soooooo much detail out of them. like peeves, malfoy/harry confrontations, quidditch, certain teachers, bill and charlie weasley, cedric appeared in POA not GOF, sirius wasnt even in the fourth one then suddenly came back in the fifth to die..WTF!, etc... they are going to have a hell of a time explaining all the crap they left out in previous movies, into the last two.
also the directors and producers are sooo retarded because the made everything short and cut a lot out. if they made all the movies longer all the TRUE POTTER FANS would go and see them...i know i would!! :P they should just remake them all again but longer and use the books as scripts.. lol!
Lastly, the next movies better be rated R lol because there is no way all the violence in the books will be in movie and still be PG-13
  • Ash · 1 year ago
I love the fact that the last movie will be split into 2 seperate parts as all the detail in the seventh book couldnt possibly be squeezed into jus one movie. I dont mind waiting because once the seventh movie is over .what is there to look forward to? and i want it to never end!
The movie does skip important stuff out a lot. Dobby is only seen in the 2nd movie and not in the rest. He was suppose to be in the Globlet of fire with a new house elf named winky. They'l have 2 put hm into the seventh movie because he saves Harry and all then has a sad ending. Sure Hermione and Ron didnt become prefects either in #5. wat eva was wit dat about as it cudnt of taken up 2 much space in the movie.
There uniforms have change since the third movie from grey 2 der house colours and the school grounds have changed 2!
I only got interested in harry potter after the third movie was released n i wnted 2 read the other books 2 c wat happens nxt which means ive onli read 4,5,6,7. wen i wnt 2 do quizes on harry potter on the first, second n third book i answered them based on the movie n gt dm wrong so i dnt trust the movies ne more n wil stick 2 d books. one of the questions was "who noticed harrys scar first" in the film ron noticed it 1st bt in the book one of the twins noticed it 1st.
so at least wen they make 2 seperate movies 4 #7 they cnt miss out 2 much!!!:L
Alot has 2 b made up 4 bt im sure the directers and producers will manage jus fine and give us Harry potter fans waht they want:)...lol
Cnt wait till #6 comes out in Nov!!! I wish there was a #8 book!!
  • T-Vey · 1 year ago
THIS IS GREAT NEWS! The only concern I have is that Part 1 of the movies might be a little boring because there is no big, climax scenes. I am not really too concerned though, because I trust that David Yates and the producers might be able to re-arrange things a little bit, but not enough to change the meaning of the movie. They are REALLY going to have to exaggerate the Bathilda/Nagini scene or something.
    Although it is doubtful,
  • T-Vey · 1 year ago
    SORRY, I WASN'T DONE YET!
Although it is doubtful, I hope by splitting these films it provides an opporitunity to give them more time to go back and apply some of the things they left out in the previous films, such as the Guants, perhaps by Harry having flashbacks of the memories he saw of them. (or any other things they cut- you get the idea) Oh yeah, for those of you who didn't know: THEY CUT THE GUANTS OF MOVIE #6!!!

They will also will eventually have to explain what the prophecy really said in movie #5 BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO DO SO!!!

It will be a bit akward seeing our trio about 22 or 23 years old, but I can't complain.
  • Elizabeth · 1 year ago
AHHHH!!!that makes me so excited to hear that they are thinking of making that movie in to two parts i was a little disapointed in the order of the phinex movie they cut out to much and sertin characters roles that are key in the final books....but i think they should make the last couple movies longer i mean you know people will go see them no matter how long they are because the books were so good.
  • William · 1 year ago
I hope that they use Alfonso Cuaron. I really disliked the way that Yates directed the film.
  • **Lyssa-Grl** · 1 year ago
I happen to be a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter series. The seventh book being my favorite. Throughout the years, as the movies have come out after my finishing the book, I have been enhanced by the performances in the movies. Although, I must state, they left out several important details, and are leaving out more and more with each movie. I believe that splitting the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie into two parts will enhance the movie with details, make the fans happy, as well as JK Rowling very proud. Making more money is always a plus for buisnesses. STOP COMPLAINING!! It only costs you 8 more dollars at the max..... and if you're not willing to pay it, don't see the movie. You must not wanna see it that bad

Show Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2 parts; just make the movie AMAZING!!
  • Ron Weasley · 1 year ago
Anticipating the other movie will be a lot of fun.... I always read comments stating that they left a lot of content from the books out of the movies..... ACTUALLY... they didn't. All of the important plot points are left. Who cares if they don't show parts that are not significant? Read the books if you wanna know all the details instead of watching just the movies. I hate when people say that. You do knoq what a book is right? One of those square things with a bunch of papers in the middle that have words on them?

    Ugh.
  • kimi · 1 year ago
i am so excited and they should split the book in two i mean after the 6 that have read so far i was so disappointed in the 5th movie they took out all the quidditch part those are one of the best parts then at the end they took out the part in the department of mysteries and the brain room and ron going crazy with that spell that hit him i was mad :( anyway the 6th and 7th better be awesome
  • Nutty Blondie · 1 year ago
They better make the movie into 2 halves!!! If you think money has something to do with it, then tell everyone else, DUH!!!! Who wouldnt want money, tell me that. but if youve read the books, u know they leave out way too much!! and if they made it into a 4 or 5 hour movie, they would probly charge twice as much for the tickets or something, cuz its got to cost a LOT to have ALL of that action!! and it IS important to have the stuff in the middle, cuz if u zip thru that, theres not as much heart in the movie, and its more confusing when u get to some points (which i wont name, cuz some people havnt read the books). face it, if they either made into a 5 hour movie or or squeezed into 2, the movie would stink, cuz they wouldnt have nuf money to make cool action parts, or they wouldnt have time for the heart parts. i would pay 100 bucks to see that movie!
  • Bookworm · 1 year ago
I agree with Nutty Blondie! They have to make it into 2 parts!!! If they don't they are going to skip way to much and people will be SOOOOOOOOOOO confused!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 7th book is the best one yet and I would hate for them to make it boring just because they're cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Nutty Blondie · 1 year ago
Yeah! bookworm is right! go them!
  • MgNi · 1 year ago
they should have made all films post hp3 into two parts as only film 1 has managed to fully include most events in the boook
  • Omni · 1 year ago
I am not too happy about splitting the movie, however, I think that if they were to split the movie, that it would be best to do so when Harry, Hermione and Ron are captured by Greyback and the wannabe death eaters.

It would leave it as a great cliffhanger, and it would mean that in the 2nd part of the movie, we don't have to see them in the tent anymore, not to mention that the 1st part of the movie could mainly be about getting into the ministry and getting the 1st horclux from the evil Bitch and destroying it.
  • Lozza · 1 year ago
I really can't wait to see the movie!!!!
    Iam really EXCITED!!!
    Can't wait!
  • Bobby · 1 year ago
    I think it's a really good move,
When i finished reading the book i thought that they would have a horrible time with making the movie, trying to fit everything in. On forums, alot of us were saying if they made this movie 5 hours long just to cover it all, we wouldnt mind.
But, thank god, they didnt, and are making it into 2 films.
Really can't wait to see it, and hope they do cover everything with all the time they have. =)
  • Karzac · 1 year ago
You can't say it is to make more money, if they didn't split it, they would cut too much out.
  • Karzac · 1 year ago
I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT!!!!
  • dementor · 1 year ago
i dont want them to ruin it or i will kill'm. i hope they dont cut out the gringotts part with the dragon, or all the dementors and i hope the battle betwween voldemort and harry is (if possible)better then the one in the fourth.
the only thing i wanns know is at what part will they stop at.should they leave you hanging or show them at shell cottage or something? i relly hope they dont ruin it by puting it inna one movie but i am happy they will not ruin it with 2 ither. i dunno wut dobbys death is important to in the story when they cut'm out in all of'm.
  • dementor · 1 year ago
ron weasly is one of the comment-leavers above and he said that all the important plot points are left.
well, starting in movie four, many book seven things are left out. as ive said above, cutting dobby out is not a terrible thing, but when he dies in book seven, there is no signifigance to it. the people who JUST watch the movies will not feel what you feel if you read the book, sadness. because since he is only seen in one movie, and has not done anything else important for harry as he as done in books. you will not miss him, moviegoers, even though u say u will.
next is mundungus fletcher in the order of the pheonix. he steals the locket from grimmauld place in book 7 and the horcrux is very important. he was cut out which cuts out the whole part of the plot.
next is "and a heavy locket nobody could seem to open" that was mentioned on chapter six,the most acient and noble house of black, that was not mentioned in the movie, whih is a horcrux harry does not realize.
next is the note from dumbledore telling him where grimmauld place is, in chapter three the advance guard. this is what harry, ron&hermione use to hide in book seven.
    so there ron weasel

yes i would rather see it ran as a mini series than have them leave out a lot of the details this a very important book.

I have all the movies and all the books. I saw Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince the day it came out like I have done with the other movies. I don't think they should cut Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows in two parts just because it's long. I mean, look at Lord Of The Rings. Those movies are near 3.5 hours and they managed to keep one release. I mean it just seems a little dumb that they are going to cut the movie in two. That's just my opinion though.

Otherwise, I am sure the movie will still be great just like the previous ones.

I really like Harry Potter and i think that all of them up too Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince were really good...i really like the books and i like all the titles, the books were really intresting, the movies are really good to but i would like to cee more fighting in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because there weas not a lot off action goin on in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I dont think that splitting the last Harry Potter movie is a really good idea, i know that it may be really long but i would profere to cee it all at once and not i 2 parts. Thank you.
