Film School Rejects: Gore Verbinski Jumps the Pirates 4 Ship, Focuses on Bioshock

Ronin · 7 months agoBioshock is the definate choice. POTC is just becoming another played out series that will slowly wither and die, any sequels in the future will more then likely be subpar at best. Where as Bioshock has one of the most interesting and orginial story lines seen in a game in years. And if done correctly will break the video game fan lines and become a blockbuster. I applaud his choice and hope he does it justice.

BillBrasky · 7 months agoThat game was one of the scariest/fun video game experiences of my life. The surround sound effects were amazing, and I found my heart skipping beats quite often. If anyone has not played it ... it is a must!!!

GyPirate09 · 7 months agoI think it's time to tkae him off the POTC franchise and begin dsomething new and fresh. I don't say Bioshock is a fresh and new idea but at least he doesn't have to be connected to the last project. I agree with Neil Miller's observation of Gore matching up w/ Guillermo Del Toro's genre but at the same time I don't the man is trying to make himself like Del Toro. Also I heard Metal Gear Solid will be a movie too maybe he can direct that one as well.

Mack41 · 7 months agoLet him do bioshock and an unknown do pirates. I love pirates and would like him to do it but bioshock would be sick. I wish he could do both.

BillBrasky · 7 months ago... also maybe Gore jumped because Russell Brand became attached to POTC 4

Aleric · 7 months agoIt would definately be a movie I would go to see. The game was great and like the other posters have stated, playing it with all the graphics cranked to the max as well as surround sound will startle the piss out of you.

gangus · 1 month agoI think we need Uwe Boll to do Bioshock. I've run out of things where I can say "The game was sooooooo much better"
