Film School Rejects: G.I. Joe Trailer Firing Blanks?

  • DMuff · 10 months ago
This may have been some what entertaining if it came out in the mid-nineties when there was an actual fan base.

My knowledge of Sommers track record starts with The Mummy and then just progressively gets worse. I have no hope for this. That said, I may watch it based on the fact that, without even seeing a trailer yet, I now think it will probably be the worst movie of next year, and that's as worthy to be seen as the best (because I'm weird like that).

I'm not even sure why I held a smidgen of hope...I think it was because momentarily forgot Sommers was directing.

Oh I will definitely see this movie, because I'm a huge GI Joe fan. I will probably be filled with so much rage that I turn green and rampage across a city.

As soon as I saw Marlon Wayans was attached to it I flipped the script. The only two things that interest me in this film are Sienna Miller and Ray Park.

Thats it, I have had enough.

I am now starting the Offical Marlon Wayons Hate Club. See unlike fight club you can talk about it and we all get together once a week to beat the hell out of Marlon Wayons. Who's in??

It happens to all of us at some point in our lives.

Sir, neither Turtles or Ghostbusters feature goop, it's ooze and slime respectively.

Did anybody actually expect anything less?

Well!!! Shame on Paramount threatning "Nuke the Fridge" for the review. I mean come on, it's a commentary its their opinion and they are entitled to it. Also the trailer sounds bad, they might as well turn the movie into a CGI movie like Resident Evil: Degeneration. I expected high hopes for the movie but if it comes out I'll wait til it gets into DVD or one of those bootleg movies on-line (just kidding). Oh I do agree with k(Black)'s comment.

Can we move on to making a He-Man movie now?!

    lol. this made my day.
  • Alericc · 10 months ago
Ok that is a start and yes all weapons are allowed as long as they don't have Area of Effect capabilties.

Nu-uh, I'm sure Dragonball will get the vote for worst movie of 2K9. Nothing beats Justin Chatwin playing a Japanese fighter who's really an alien from a planet that bred warriors that was ruled by another alien who wore purple armor and sounded a little like a 57 year old woman that ate Marlboro Reds with her mini Eggo waffles for breakfast.

Count me in - so long as I can bring weapons and the fifteen or so women from the Real Housewives series on Bravo.
  • Adam_Sweeney · 10 months ago
I am definitely in. I am going to put a roll of nickels under some gloves just so he really pays for Little Man and White Chicks. He will never be forgiven for that.

Ugh, I will be going to see the G.I.Joe Movie for the same reasons they gave on Nuke the Fridge. But so help me every time Marlon Wayons comes on screen I will be saying in a loud voice, "Why does Shorty Meeks have a gun??"
