I saw Taken last October when I was in the UK and thought it was amazing. I think I might check it out a second time now that its playing here. good stuff indeed.

the plot of Taken is refreshingly simple: "Liam Neeson is gonna beat down some people till he gets his daughter back..."

Amen to the Elizabeth Banks comment.
I'm so sick of seeing her in EVERY movie.

I really liked Taken, and I am a pretty harsh movie critic. I totally agree with Kevin that it was refreshingly believable. It wasn't this pretentious bullcrap that hollywood normally puts out in an action movie. It almost played like a true story drama. I agree it obviously was a lower budget film, but in my mind that actually helped it not become too "mission impossible" like. Liam Neeson was a great casting choice, his voice and slight accent really accentuate his "normal but still a bad-ass" quality. It will be hard to make this a franchise and still keep the believable quality, but I hope they do, I'd love to see another one.

i saw the uninvited a few weeks ago and thought itt a was okay. ill admit though, it got me a few times and me and my friends screamed. also at the end when everything tied together i was like "whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. hold on a secong there. what?" i really did not see that ending coming.
