Caption This: Win Uwe Boll’s Far Cry on DVD!
and also check out the toast illusion
Next you'll be telling me that we can see the batman logo in one of the clouds of the new Sandra Bullock movie... gimme a break!
http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/hulks-let...
I'll buy it. Looks like Cap's shield.
I emailed Film School Rejects after seeing this on Blu-Ray.......the Alternate Opening
scene moves so fast that your eyes would'nt be able to catch it in time ( you would need
super-speed vision like the Flash). The only reason I knew to look for it was because of
Leterrier's interview where he states that he placed Captain America in the Artic. I
slowed the scene down and sure enough, you can see Cap frozen in the ice in the
bottom left hand corner at the 2:25 mark.
And to all the naysayers out there............pllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaazzzzzzz..........how
many of you same beeeeyotches said they couldn't see Captain America's shield in Iron
Man. But it's right there...........even Favreau says it's there.........that's why they call it
Easter eggs boys..........you have to look for them. And it's not going to be obvious.
Do you need to be smacked in the f*@kin' head with Mjolinr to be told your watching
a Thor movie!!!!!???? Or is it all just red shadows and blue lights playing off the snow???
Props to Leterrier and co.......personally they should have included this in the end
credits........like Sam Jackson's Nick Fury cameo......
Sincerely yours ( And pretty sure I know what the f#@k I'm lookin at.....lol)
EGamb
In other words: Nope, really, it's just some rocks in some snow.
Scoop!
And i total agree with this movie cross over idea, but i cant see anyone exept hardcore marvel fans wanting to see captain america as the leader when you have a whity, funny, super rich hero like iron-man. whatever is in plans for the cap movie better be amazing because to keep up with heroes like spidy, iron-man, hulk and even blade will be hard to do.
modern times is because he gets frozen in ice.
He was accidentally frozen during WWII and was revived during modern times.
I TYPE LETTERS ON THE SCREEEN.
Yahoo just posted a blurb about the Captain America cameo appearance and gave props to
Film School Rejects!! Aintitcoolnews and Superherohype gets scooped for once and takes
one in the a$$.........REJECTS STYLE!!!!!
FANBOYZ REPRESENT!!!!!!!
As for a movie with all these superheroes.. hmmmm i dont know if anyone would want to see it.. There wouldnt be time to go into any of the characters deeply.. it would just be an appearance for all of them.. Unlike X-Men which is a an esamble of heroes, yet the movies concentrate on one character Like Wolverine, like Phoenix.
Personally was never a fan of captain America.. maybe an american thing, but it would be intresting to see a movie, since there are so many other ones that got one who were less known and loved.. No names needed..
I think the problem with these movies is the lack of quality villians.. Lets face it who fears a Lex Luthor nowadays?? or a soldier transformed into a mutated Hulk..
(there is a concept, Like Hulk was not mutated already:))
Batman was a great exception thanks to an increadible performance by Ledger and a script, as well as directing which made him appear like a maniac that seemed all too real..
Cameo or not.. I see it in the ice but what is lacking are worthy villians that go the distance with the heroes.. push them so hard we wonder how are they going to make it.. make them real.. make them scary..
oh and Sparky.........DAMN
they wont have to go into all the characters deeply that is the reason why they all have their own individual movies first...some will have sequels......The Avengers will be one of the best superhero movies to come out....as long as they have worthy villians.....
p.s. the picture - A farce... Thats like in the Lion King when you hear someone whisper the word 'a.s.s.' in the wind. You can make yourself see see or hear anything if you want to. Ever see the Virgin Mary in a peice of Toast? The only hero in that picture is shadowman, a shadow that prevents light from reflecting off a normal surface. Up, up and away!
Superman & Batman (especially after Adam West's tongue-thru-cheek, TV comedy) to
be just plain silly compared to Kirby's Silver Age creations at Marvel. (Not unlike
Lennon & McCartney, Lennon had as little to do with penning Paul's Penny Lane as "Stan
the Man" had to do with ANY of Jack Kirby's superhero creations at Marvel. Stan mostly
transliterated Jack's storylines into word-balloon dialog...not as easy as it sounds...but
certainly not on the same footing as being a co-creator. Stan was a businessman, not a
writer/artist, although I do credit him with marketing Marvel comics to an older,
"hipper" audience.)
The rebirth of Cap in the Silver Age was a splendid event (even if the idea of his being
frozen in a block of ice since WWII seems a bit simple-minded by today's standards),
although Kirby's original Avengers were a bit of an oddball team. Why would a god and
an unstoppable monster need to team up with anyone?
Nonetheless, although I fear that any Avengers movie will suffer from perfunctory,
feckless modernization and pointless mythos revision (we'll be lucky if they aren't all
dressed up in black leather costumes), it seems to me like the studios are assembling
all the requisite puzzle pieces...assuming the Cap movie doesn't resemble those
DREADFUL Reb Brown, made-for-TV films in the 70s...and assuming the bible-
thumpers don't raise a stink about Thor's being a god, and all. Tony Stark was woefully
miscast, but the Iron Man movie itself wasn't too bad, otherwise. Lord knows
Hollywood totally ruined The Fantastic Four, arguably Kirby's best creation for Marvel.
(Other forever tainted franchises would have to include Mission: Impossible & The Wild
Wild West.)
I was happy to hear that Cap's movie will mostly be set back in WWII, and be a period
piece like The Rocketeer (still my favorite attempt at converting 2D comics into 3D
movies). But for (the late) Dave's Stephen's insistence on final creative control, I can
only imagine how wretched this Disney-fied epic could have been. A little updating
around frayed edges is one thing, but effete, politically over-correct revamps, such as
casting Will Smith as James West or Sam Jackson as Nick Fury, contribute nothing of
value to the original premise. (Imagine all the screaming that would ensue if the
Osmond family opted to star in an all-Mormon version of "Raisin in the Sun," in
retaliation against the horrid spectacle of "The Wiz," perhaps?)
Hollywood producers, directors, and screen writers should not try to second guess or
improve upon the original concepts of creators & authors too much. Personally, I
believe that archetypal heroes work best in the time periods they were intended to
occupy. Even those WWII Sherlock Holmes movies from the 40s (with Basil Rathbone)
strike me as being a bit off. Holmes belongs in Victorian England, just like Marvel's
Silver Age characters belong in the Cold War 60s.
I am also eagerly anticipating the Watchmen! All (well, most) signs would seem to be
pointing in the right direction!
Cap's shield showing up in Ironman is because his father worked on the shield's indestructable metal as well as having worked on the super soldier serum mentioned in the Incredible Hulk.
Cap being frozen in ice goes back to his WWII days when he ended up disappearing due to him being frozen in ice. When he was found and resurfaced in the present day he had trouble adjusting to modern day life as his sidekick Bucky was now old as well as his love interest.
As for those of you who do not see Cap frozen in ice. Its as clear as day. The second picture is even outlined for you. Or do we need to make the picture into connect the dots so you can better see it. The reason behind this scene was clearly for the Marvel fans who know and loved Cap and his origin as Steve Rogers. The reason the scene was cut was because when Bruce Banner Hulked out the hands were too cartoonish to be left in.
Don't any of you know, that no matter who does the adaptation of the literature to film, EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING will be lost in translation. It's like that one book translated from some dead, sea scrolls. One dude read it, then told the story to some people, then they told that story to more people, and in the end...I end up giving money to a guy I never met that lives in a huge church in Italy.
So that means - Captain America was a WWII hero that wore red briefs on the outside of his combat uniform to fool the Nanzi's into thinking he was an escaped mental patient. They saw his rank as Captain and he was American, so they called him that. The Nazi's experimented with magic and used Cpt. A as a guinnea pig. Harry Potter makes a cameo and accidentally freezes Cpt. A and as soon as that happens, Captain America's adopted twin brother, Captain Obvious calls in Mighty Mouse to kill Potter and his Nazi army. The Mouse cleans house and has a kid with the Invisible Woman. Since she could not be seen, the child would turn green when constipated. So to hide this hideous thing that loves to post negative comments on the internet, Tony Stark creates the Iron Man suit to lock the kid up inside and leave him atop a tower in Never Never Land Ranch. Stark then created canned tuna from this idea and marketed in partnership with the Green Giant to honor the kid with the iron mask that made him so much money. THE END.
In terms of the shield being in Iron Man, I doubt very much they intend for both scenes to have some level of continuity with each other. Its just for fan boys to get a giggle.
If they did, that means the Captain America movie would have to show us that while the Hulk was in the artic, Iron Man had not yet made his suit. It would have to show us that after the avalanche apparently buries CA even worse than before, an "artic tribe" digs him out(actually cuts out the block of ice holding him), worships him, which angers Sub-Mariner(who lives underwater and is from Atlantis...). SM throws the block into the Ocean, where Tony Stark(or someone working for him) sees it, salvages it, releases CA, who must be laying around in stable condition in some medical facility during the Iron Man movie, while Tony Stark hangs onto the shield, which is currently sitting on his table in his lab, because its special(?). Apparently then once Hulk and Iron Man and the rest form their tandem, CA wakes up, where at this point the "Avengers" ask him to join them, and we find out, at long last, that Captain America has tremendous difficulty CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF HIS VOICE!! And no inner monologue.
Or maybe theyre gonna skip some of that...
I just finished watching the Incredible Hulk DVD (good flick cartoonish but darker than Iron Man). I wathced all the alternate scenes on the disk. Blonski and the General conspiring gives a hint of Captain America. (They had other test subjects but it was unstable. If you wikipedia "Captain America" they follow that subplot during the 1960s), but I digress. Where did you find the 2 min and 25 second scene that shows him trying to kill himself in the artic? All the bonus features showed him in Brazil.
BTW. If you plan on watching them, it is best to watch them in sequence, Iron Man first then Hulk. A bunch of the suttle references to Stark Labritories will be missed.
BTW Pt. 2 Is it just me or did anyone else notice the swastika on the wall as he was entering his apartment in the first few deleted scenes.
Thanks
Nuthut
Sorry for the second post, I just finished reading what you stated. If this mysterious deleted scene follows the current time line of the first two movies, it would have been shown between the opening scene - where Bruce turns into the Hulk, destroys the lab and hurts Betty in the process - and the scene where he is in the soda factory in Brazil and it stated "Days without incident: 180" Theoretically he could have gone from New York to the Artic Circle and then down to Brazil during the half a year. The movie never stated how long he was working in the soda factory.
Also, it is not clearly stated, date wise, when Iron Man took place and when Hulk took place. All we can surmise is that Hulk happened sometime after Tony Stark announced he was Iron Man and Nick Fury approached him.
In Iron Man, we are told that he was held in captivity for three months after giving the demonstration of his super weapon. After that we can only presume the events following were relativly in real time (ie. weeks or months didn't pass between major scenes). Not knowing the Avengers comics, I can't be 100% sure, but there would still be a three month gap when the deleted scene happens and when we see the shield in Iron Man.
My 2 cents.

regarding the CA in the snow, I think it's a shame, they went at it all wrong in my opinion. No wonder the scene was cut out, I was told that there's a scene where there's a photo hanging of CA (when the Gen Ross was walking around with Blonsky). Anyway, the way I'm seeing the time line in these 2 movies is the following. I feel that IM happen before the Hulk. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in the beginning of the Hulk (the newspaper clippings) it talks about Stark Industries, NF, & S.H.I.E.L.D etc etc. The machines used to try and stop the Hulk on the campus was from Stark Industries. Anyway back to the CA shield if IM time line is before Hulk, why would the shield be in Starks lab while another one is buried in the artic. That doesn't make any sense to me, do you guys agree? If I recall CA was never frozen in the uniform we all know to see him. Help me out people am I right or wrong?
At first it looks like someone throwing someone, but its cap and his hawk.
These are super hero comics from the 60's and 70's translated to modern times. Meaning Its never going to be exact. Since when did you read a book then go watch the movie and find the movie exactly like the book. Its never going to happen. Things get translated differently on the silver screen, scenes get cut, while others stay. Everyone will have an opinion but my philosophy is sit back and enjoy watching what you once read a a child. I for one think its awesome that Marvel and DC are still around and turning there creations into movies. Its something i can share with my son and feel like a kid again.
JUST RELAX DUDE AND ENJOY !!!
Heres the Link:

1. It shows that Bruce tried contacting Dr. Ross on 2/7/06 (Basis of a timeline)
2. A memo from SHIELD from Nick Fury states that the are on a manhunt for Bruce. This makes me think when the Avengers movie comes out Hulk is going to be one of the Lead Villians.
3. Survalence camera shows a silouette of him on 4/18/04
4. Memo stating "No Sightings for 5 months" last seen Oct 21, 2006.
5 Opening scene past credits states Days without incedent 158.
There is alot of unaccounted for time where the suicide scene could have taken place. Sometime between 2004 from the survalance video to 2006 with the intercepted email. Like I stated, my copy of the DVD does not show the suicide scene. If there is a youtube of it could you post it?
Bruce could have easily walked past Captian America frozen in ice, and still have a shield on Stark's bench as a - say repaired or improved shield from his WWII days. Nick fury DID say he wasn't the only superhero so SHIELD could have retrived him from the tribe in the artic and started reconditioning him by the end of Iron Man.
Nuthut
seems to be getting overlooked:
1) Stark had the shield on his desk during Iron Man because Howard Stark was a
member of Project: Rebirth, the US government's super soldier project, and Tony was
checking out an old prototype of the shield to study its metals for use in his Iron Man
tech. This explanation was used in the bonus comic that came with the Iron Man DVD at
Wal-Mart.
2) In the fourth issue of the Avengers comic book series Namor discovers that an Artic
inuit tribe was worshipping a block of ice encasing some mysterious star spangley dude.
The Avengers checked it out, guess what? It's Cap. The guy went MIA during WWII, but
turns out he just in suspended animation. This allows for the interesting dynamic of
being the man out of time, something that allows for the character to continue to
resonate even in modern times (for all the haters who said he won't work as a movie and
is a lame superhero).
3) At the end of the day this scene is still an easter egg, and a deleted one at that. It
might not even be used as canon in what will be the Cap and Avengers movies. This was
just a small treat that the director thought fans of Cap would appreciate seeing.
perhaps just a blueray feature?
I've read that most people aren't confident that Captain American won't make a good movie because Spider Man and Iron Man and all the others have come out and made a big splash. That Cap's 'powers' are so weak compared to theirs. Well, yeah, just think, he was made to be a super soldier.. not a green ape or a rich man being bored and making a tin suit or a guy that was bit by a spider. This man was experimented on and now has super strength, agility, flexibility, super fighting skills and come on, he works his shield like pro.
I personally can't wait to see what they do with his movie and regardless if it is as crappy as Spider Man 3, I will still buy Captain America's movie.
So if you're willing to spend an extra $7-9 to see Cap then... all the power to ya lol
(I sure wasn't even though I love Cap but I watched the alternate opening on youtube before I bought it...)
one thing i think if the cap movie looks like this guys fight with the hulk before the sonic blast which by the way he moves just like cap should and if it looks as smooth as it did then the cap movie should be fine. (and it cant be as bad as the made for tv movie with the surfer cap in the evil conevil jumpsuit with the biker helmate as his mask and a funky fiberglass clear shild.)
