For a concert documentary, I think it has fared pretty well.

Yeah it was over-hyped. I mean, it's REHEARSAL footage, dead or not who wants to see rehearsal footage? For what it was, I think it's done very well. Really, this movie is just another example of people expecting too much because it's Michael Jackson. The same thing has happened with everything that he's released since Thriller.

I'm sorry, but to believe that This Is It is anything short of success is absurd. It's a documentary that opened to $20 mil+, and that's only domestic. This thing was shot for nothing, bought for $50 million and will easily net $50 mil when it's all said and done. It's on track.

    Not to mention DVD sales...

Plus it's a non-horror movie that made this much money over Halloween weekend

Since when does a man filming himself at work make so much money? This Is It did great.

Well i was able to see 3 of the 10 movies you listed there. And the only movie i really look foward to see once again is This is it. Idk maybe because i am a MJ fan, or prehaps because saw6 was really not worth m time and money. One way or another MJ's This is it was a very good movie.

How can you compare a "doc-style" movie to a Blockbuster?...
Sometimes I wonder if all you people on this movie blogs and sites even have a clue of what you're talking about...
