Film School Rejects: Foolish Mortals Can’t Stop Uwe Boll

Sadly, I think you're right Cole. But I signed the petition anyway...

Uwe Boll secretly enjoys this, or not so secretly. Him and Eli Roth.

    Who is this guy?

The petition is already over 100,000. Only 880,000 or so more signatures to go...

I hate you, Kevin Carr. Part of me believes you want to see me actually go through with watching all of his movies in one sitting.

Trust me. If I do, I'll find some way to drag you down into Hell with me.

There was discussion on Slashdot that Germany had recently closed the tax hole that
allowed Uwe Boll to gain money off making terrible movies, so his perceived challenge to
the Internet community is only seen as yet another publicity stunt.

I think anyone who signs such a petition is mean!
  • Gary Sundt · 1 year ago
    Sherrie...

...have you seen his movies? It's not mean. It's like signing an anti-Hitler petition: Sure, it
won't do much to stop the evil, but somebody had to try. And movie critics and nerds
(one in the same really) don't have a lot of weapons. At least I don't think we do.

I signed the petition, but truthfully I don't think it'll do much either. Beyond math,
beyond anything... I don't know if one million people know that Uwe Boll exists. Even if
his movies have made $22 million, most people were tricked by marketing.

In fact, if the petition works, I'll be a little sad in knowing that one million people know
his name. That makes him somewhat famous, yes? That's sad to me.
