    Ok guys, not to back Taylor Kitsch looking the part...(i dont quite think he does) but lets not beat him down yet. fanboys need to develop patience...lets see the movie, or at least the trailer, then judge.
    Remember Heath Ledger as the joker and the fanboy backlash that began when he was chosen, but ultimately turned in a masterful performance?
    i dont know if Taylor Kitsch has put in the same commitment and research into the part of Gambit, but i think the dude deserves a chance.

    Agreed, he deserves a chance, but I'm still skeptical. Not so much because of the actor chosen, but in how they'll protray the character. It bothers me that they're tossing Gambit in Wolverine's orgins story. Perhaps it'll make sense they way they do it, but I would rather he show up in a future X-movie cause we all know it'll eventually be made.

    Agreed too. But remember, this is Hollywood and they can do whatever the f.... they want. I agree Gambit should not be in this movie but we have no say. Also, be aware Hollywood arent necessarily making these movies for us geeks..sure geeks will see em, but mainstream audience wont care whethere Gambit is in this movie or not.

    Im sure there is a marvel comic where Gambit and Wolverine were in the same storyline before they joined the X-men. Im sure sabretooth was there as well. Whilst I doubt this film will follow this story, like the otheres they will borrow elements of the story from all the x-men incarnations. Also Gambit/Wolverine are probably everyone's favourite X-men and I'd be more than happy to see them together in a film as long as they good some good screen time together!

    I think I'm the only person who liked the movie-version of the Phoenix story. I'm completely against bringing in aliens into a story where it was never needed in the first place. Aliens are just corny to me, especially Marvel aliens.

    I'm not saying the movie was good, it wasn't, but I'm just glad it wasn't made worse with some lame narrative about astral entities.

    I wasn't expecting cannon for the Phoenix story the alien part wouldn't have worked for film. Still they sqaundered a perfectly good story. Scott became this worthless character without Jean, which was annoying and then they went and killed him. I also didn't like the way they presented Jean as this powerful mutant that Professor X felt the need to control it all felt very out of character. Till this day I've only ever watched X3 once I tried a second viewing and I simply cannot sit through it.

    Well i completely hated what they did to Cyclops. Cyclops is supposed to be badass. He's the frigging leader of the Xmen, but he was turned into a frigging wuss who cudnt get his mind off Pheonix..! wtf! and in the third movie...wtf! talk about a 5 minute screen time! Annoyingly, Halle Berry's Storm played a bigger role than was necessary. bs!

    taylor kitch is a complete douche, at school he was the typical "cool kid" but with major homo tendencies.

    ill be missing this film because he is in it.

    taylor kitch and chad kruger are in the same douche boat together sucking each other off!!!!

    Oh, I know all they want is to see the $$, not that I blame them movies are an investment. And if Gambit turns out cool then I'll be happy, I'm not expecting anything cannon. Heck, look what they did to the Phoenix SL. le sigh. Disappointing to say the least.
