I am excited about this flick.

This is one of those stories I never get sick of seeing remade.

I like how Russel Crow looks a bit dirty and tough/rough rather than the pretty-boy Robin Hoods we may be used to seeing. Most of the ruling class / knights etc at the time would have been tough bastards. Looking forward to this movie.

Does anybody else just see Maximus on a trip to the renaissance fair?

LOL that was my first thought when I saw the picture, that they were including an old shot of Crowe from Gladiator.

I will have to see the movie to make any judgement.

No one will remember Kevin Costner after this movie. Russell Crowe literally "becomes" his characters and this will be the Robin Hood against which others will be measured.

I love the nitty-gritty style they're all after, and I do think the whole Robin Hood series deserves the 'reboot' of sorts, but the name 'Robin'... eh, that ain't tough and gritty enough though. Funny. Just my two cents.

This is not the Robin of Fairy Tales I love the look and am looking forward to this movie coming out. Wow he looks lethal.

He looks marvelous! I'm glad they are not going the "fairy tale" route. Grazer and Crowe work well together. They will give the story a refreshingly kick-ass view of Hood.

Am I the only one who remembers them announcing this film with Christian Bale as the lead, Russel Crowe as The Sherriff, and Sienna Miller as Marion? Because I know that was the case for quite a while.

BORING! A moviestill delivered to the media at a very specific time. Carefully created to keep the buzz about this movie going. Not going to see it. Not interested in yet another Robin Hood movie, especially now that the script has been rewritten a 1000 times to accomodate mr Crowe.

ChristianH....Bale was never going to be 'the lead'. Russell was always going to be the lead and thats how the whole project started with Ridley. It was simply that one of the early ideas was that the Sheriff was going to be the central character, hence the proposed title 'Nottingham' which has now been ditched. You are correct about Sienna as Marion...but despite all the nonsense about Crowe being 'too fat' for her...re-writes probably called for an older Marion. Hence Blanchett (who is hardly a chubby-chops herself).

I hope Robin Hood kicks ass and doesnt give two shits about names in this flick. If someone can do it, Crowe can do it
