Syfy beat them to it, I saw a preview for it this weekend with the same story line.

Aleric is correct. I watched it. It wasn't actually too bad for a low budget flick made for video release and the Syfy channel. It's titled "High Plains Invaders" and stars James Marsters, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer's" Spike, who's actually a very good actor and always a lot of fun to watch, even if he is under appreciated.

But as long as Jon Favreau is directing "Cowboys and Aliens," it will definitely get the full treatment, with lots of great acting, spectacle and great visual effects. It should be a lot of fun,
and definitely worth a watch.
