Also, chainsawing people is kind of a turn on to me. And R. Lee Ermey is my hero.
But I thought the original was so visceral and grisly with its explosive violence (like when Leatherface beat the guy in the hallway with the hammer) but didn't do the on-screen gore, it got ruined a bit with the on-screen chainsawing.
It was kinda like (but not nearly as pointless as) the remake of Psycho. The original movie was just so perfect for what it was.
As for the remake of Psycho, that was like the worst joke in all history. That deserves a hearty WTF.
