Thanks to critics like him it made me more inclined to see it. I loved and it makes me want to see a second.

You are totally right.....
If you had read the book you would have been even more dissapointed with this movie.....
In the book pages 50-200 are about chasing down the Ra'Zac who killed his uncle....In the movie they dont even incoporate that in....
Plus Brom is killed by the Ra'Zac Not Durza...
Also there is no airial battle at the Battle in Farthen Dur....It on the ground....Also eragon is supposed to get a bad long statch on his back which is a major part of the second book....
The Varden in the movie had the freakiest clothes and looked like retards.....
What i have said is only half of how bad this movie was....!!!!!
Now it is too late....If they try to change the second movie and make it better it wont match up with the first sucky one....

O.K I loved the book it was amazing and I have been waiting for this movie to come out for a year. I went to it the first night it opened and I thought it was terrible! The only thing in common with the book are the names of the charachters. I wish they would have stuck to the story it would be a lot better.

And what was up with that cloud dragon or "dark magic" Durza was riding I mean HELLO did you even read this book?

ME AGAIN AGAIN WEN S THE THIRD 1 COMIN OUT ITS TAKIN AWHILE I HAV BEN WAITING 4 EVA LOL :( THEY JUST HAD TO RUIN SUCH A GREAT BOOK WID A SAD SUCKY MOVIE!!!
I think it is amazing how Christopher Paolini the author wrote such a great book when he was only fifteen and sixteen!
The book is way better than the movie with more adventure in it, but the one thing I didn't like was there was to much explaining in the book and toke awhile to move on with the story.

If you have seen Star Wars or Lord of the Rings you are going to see a lot of similarities here. The farm boy is the “chosen one” believed to be able to lead a rebellion against a corrupt and evil king and his dark minions. There is the wise man who knows just what lessons he needs to learn to put him on the right track, there are the hordes of bad guys hot on their trail, the boy must overcome his own self confidence to realize his destiny, I had the distinct feeling I had seen all of this before and better.

How??? The movie is awesome!!! And you need to read the book if you think the point is about a "chosen one". My point being is you cannot judge a fantasy movie until you have read the book of that movie. I do admit the characters for Eragon and Arya are horrible. But, if you want to watch a let down movie watch Star Wars or Lord of the Rings.
