Film School Rejects: Enjoy: Massive Wolverine Spoilers & Deadpool News

    Wow.

Jesus Christ, that sounds absolutely fucking terrible.

X3 look out - Marvel has a new "worst ever" just over the horizon.
  • Patrick Ramser · 8 months ago
Doesn't sound too bad. I hope the "after credits" moment is Wade rising from death and winking or something.

I think this movie will still rock, regardless of how it ends up.

what the spoilers..have failed to mention, and what inadvertently will make this movie, a hit, are the kick-ass action ( if a wee over the top) action scenes that this flick promises..so far we have seen wolvie slicing his way through a hummer and "clawing on" to a chopper.

while the spoilers have given away the storyline, am sure that this will be a far enjoyable product, once viewed with the stunts, and reynold's one-liners!

    can't wait!

the way they are depicting Deadpool in the movie sounds too stupid and I'm not buying it. I thought the movie would've been better than this. Don't get me wrong I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine based on the trailers and spoilers they are making this movie a bit 'sucky'. Also who made Emma Frost as Silver Fox's sister I mean come on they are just screwing the whole movie. I thought they would've made her character better if she was in X3 betraying the X-Men by working w/ Magneto to change Jean Grey into an Ultimate Weapon. What ever happened to the Black Queen? Also where's the whole thing about William Stryker's son stuck in that ice on the trailer? Did they took that off? WTF is going on with this film?
  • RobertFure · 8 months ago
I'm still excited for the film. It sounds like it will have a lot of great fights in it.
  • _Christopher_M · 8 months ago
if this is a total box office flop...I'm not blaming Jackman or Gavin Hood...it's going to rest only on FOX....they need to give/sell back these properties back to Marvel Studios so we can have some proper X-Men films....selling the rights back is the only way this studio is going to see a profit
  • CaptainReg0981 · 8 months ago
Ok you're right but I don't blame the studio Chris it's the writers who wrote the screenplay and the script is to blame. I mean come on where would be the story or movie will come first, of course its the script Fox just distributes the film.
  • _Christopher_M · 8 months ago
Fox's people have been rumored to have made changes during production...may it be the script, sets or character designs (weapon XI, deadpool)...I personally haven't read the script compared to the actually final cut.. although executives for Fox are notorious people for firing directors and writers...then doing it themselves...Alien 3 is one example...they're also a very litigious group of people...I've heard horror stories of how they sue actors, directors and writers just to get a movie the way they want it...rather than the vision originally intended....they just don't distribute the film they were on set the whole way...I'm sure they made a lot of changes to fit a toy line or for products they want to sell based from the movie...
  • CaptainReg0981 · 8 months ago
Don't get me wrong Fox does screw up and no doubt about it. I'm not defending them I still think the script is usually the start of all the problems (like rewrites and editing). I personally think that's my opinion I don't know the process since I'm not in film business but its stupid how Fox (and other studios) kill your dream.
  • CaptainReg0981 · 8 months ago
I would like to see that happen Infernal. But as much as Fox has a tight grip w/ the X-Men franchise I don't think they'll let Wolverine set out and work w/ the Avengers. Then you have to deal with rewriting the history of Marvel Comics Characters that we love for years.
  • David G · 8 months ago
Lately Marvel seems to be lacking in storylines. In films and comics. Beginning of the end?
  • RobertFure · 8 months ago
Their comics have sucked for like, 8 years now. Marvel is actually doing really well as a movie studio. Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk were both good flicks that made good money. Spider-Man is a Sony franchise, not a Marvel one (in regards to movies) and X-Men is a Fox Franchise.

Back to comics for a second - Spider-Man's Brand New Day arc makes me vomit a little.
  • hage · 8 months ago
how u can read comics and still be excitedly awaiting the release of the film is beyond me. i ll say that marvel have loads of shitty comic, but theres a couple of gems. so its unfair to classify them together.

    Hey guys,

this isn't new - It was on Latino Review a week ago, word for word the same - someone just reformatted it here and took out some of the fanboy all-caps stuff.

    It's fake.
  • RobertFure · 8 months ago
In Oz, wishing you were home 3 times gets you there. In the real world, wishing this was fake 3 times gets you nothing. Compare all the spoilers to the toys, the packaging, Wolverine describing Deadpool as an enemy, Ryan Reynolds talking about how he isn't "Deadpool" but rather Wade Wilson and won't comment on the look of the character, the trailer, etc. If this is fake, it would either be the world's longest string of coincidences ever or a hoax that makes Bigfoot, Nessie, and Area 51 look like cardboard cut outs.

Also - I'm looking for the Latino Review article. If you have it, it'd be appreciated. I want to see if it is the same info, we like those boys, maybe we compare notes and sources.

Wolverine wasn't a member of the Avengers until like 2005. He shouldn't be in an Avengers movie. We need the classics - Cap, Iron Man, Ant Man, Thor (I know thats not the original line up, but they're the iconic ones)
  • CaptainReg0981 · 8 months ago
Well that's true Wolverine lined up as part of the Avengers in Secret Wars and The New Avengers we do need the classic line up after all.
  • Aleric · 8 months ago
I gave up on Marvel 15 years ago. Most of the old titles are stuck in the 70s both in story and art.
  • Sam_isusingan_ · 8 months ago
I don't know about this, Fure. The movie sounds like it would be good, but only if it wasn't an X-men movie. The basic plot structure, intrigue, etc sounds very interesting, but the basic skull fucking of Deadpool sort of tears it apart. I still don't see what the point of turning a 'beloved' character into... whatever this weapon xi is supposed to be, was. They could have easily introduced Wade, had the conflict arise, a fight and wade screwing off, and then Weapon XI just being someone else.

I am going to keep hoping that that's the case, and that 'deadpool' is simply the code name the project uses for Weapon XI.
  • RobertFure · 8 months ago
One thing to remember is Deadpool/Weapon XI is probably the final fight, but he's not really "the" villain. He is just the final stumbling block. Stryker and his goons and Sabretooth are probably the main villains. Reynolds was pretty clear he's not really in the film that long. While I agree, what they're doing to Deadpool sucks - but the 10 minutes of Wade Wilson will be perfect.

Plus, I hope Fox can make a real Deadpool movie (or maybe Marvel can!) even with this ending. It would just end up being a different origin. Cutting off his head is no big deal if he has the healing powers of Wolverine/Sabretooth. The way he "dies" is a perfect origin for him becoming a badly burned, crazy, non-stop talking merc with a mouth. We'll have to see. Overall I'm not against the Wolverine story and think Deadpool could be saved. I'm definitely excited to see Reynolds as WW.
  • Sam_isusingan_ · 8 months ago
Yeah you've got good points, and they could definitely make it work fairly easily, especially with a post-credit clip. Even something simple, like uh, "Deadpool" was part of clone batch based off Wade wilson and everyone else, and the final clip is Reynolds running by Xavier or something the like that. I guess it is good that they have the luxury to work with a fairly open universe where ridiculous is the norm
  • ERoBB · 8 months ago
lol, I'm quite shocked people had hopes for this movie. Sounds about as absurd as I expected.
  • RobertFure · 8 months ago
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was the best part of all three X-Men movies - in fact, the only part that was good. Plus, this movie is finally giving us a ton of mutants that are more than just cameos.
  • hage · 8 months ago
hopefully marvel will pick it up and put it under their marvel knights imprint where deadpool can happily slice and dice. and there, he can meet punisher and take out the avengers.
  • TonyL · 7 months ago
The final scene is Wolverine "drinking to remember" in a Japanese bar. That's it. They Really really need to resolve wade. We need to see him still alive, stealing wolverines healing factor to cure what they'd done to him before harvesting him for the weapon 11 clone. He should partially heal, and stagger off into the darkness. marveling at his new ability.
  • Siapu · 7 months ago
The movie is utter garbage and finally nails the coffin shut for me on xmen films. They literally make deadpool crappool. I watched it from beginning to end, and am glad I did not waste money on it! Fox thinks we are all morons and will spend our money on anything with xmen in it, so they spend as little as possible on effects, and storyline! Shame on you Fox!
  • No one · 7 months ago
I've seen the leaked copy. I wanted to see it to see if they did deadpool justice. If they did, i planned to see it when it came out in theaters, to pay my dues. They've ruined the character so bad (after the first initial scenes where it was ryan playing it, then it was great) that i refuse to see the film again, regardless of free or not, and refuse to see any more marvel films that revolve around the xmen. I won't let them fuck me out of 10 bucks a third time. Fuck that company. I'll stick to the animated films from now on. At least they had deadpool in Hulk vs Wolverine. Fucking scumbag directors and suits.
  • rast · 7 months ago
Siapu, don't bitch about the effects in the leaked version. They were not done with it.

However, the plot was mediocre, with quite a few idiotic moments.
  • Tricky · 7 months ago
I'm wondering if there's a part where Wade breaks the fourth wall???

I HAVE SEEN A SCREENER FOR THIS MOVE AND ALL OF THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE!
Decent film, vivsually stimulating and the storyline asllthouh not true to the comics is not as bad as you would think! that being said, like isaid it is not very true to the comics and gambit and wade/deadpool are in the movie for a total of 20 minutes at seperate times!
Like i said though not like the comics, visually stimulating and decent effects, and definatly a popcorn flick, go see it and enjoy, but dont go in with high exectations
