I agree that anything with Renee Zellweger should be thrown into the Avoid pile. Children of Men on BluRay?! Yes please thank you! Awesome action scenes and def worth the buy! Good call. Also... i defend noodlemaking as it is truly a fine art. One that takes skill and precision. But then again, its a movie about Murphy...Eww

The Ramen Girl isn't a bad film. It's at least worth watching for Ramen-loving Japanophiles. The story focuses on Murphy's character as she learns to make awesome ramen and the romance stuff is merely on the side.

I've already seen The Sky Crawlers, and it's certainly a talkative film. The action is nice, but it only fills about 10-15 minutes of screen time. The rest is philosophical ponderings.

Rob Hunter, I am ashamed of you. Where does Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus fall in this list???

    Shame, shame!

D'oh! Yeah, that's a major gaffe on my part. I must have forgotten the movie was actually real and not just some mashed-up fan-made faux trailer. Thanks for reminding me...

And for the record it would fall under the RENT category.

How dare you? RENT Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus? I guess you'd just as soon rent Ben-Hur huh?

    Fascist.

I liked 'Children of Men' so much. I haven't seen 'Dreams...' yet.

I don't know what the rest of those are about. Henry Rollins and Ron Perlman... and noodles and boobs and snow, near as I can tell. Eh.

i dont think you understood the point of the sky crawlers, which if you dont understand what the movie is really trying to say then it would seem like you said: boring, too much dialog, and only a couple action scenes with nice animation. the movie is a commentary on the modern anime industry and how everything now days is just a rehash of things that have come before and how things need to change. im sure the average person has no idea about the anime industry or care to know, it just makes the movie a lot better in my opinion to understand that.
