they are doing this remake because they are douche-bags, can't come up with original ideas, and have run out clever horror storylines. Goddamned bastards. I'M SO BLOODY SICK OF REMAKES!

don't mess with Cronenberg, period. His films are perfect. They're original, classic, and classy. Shit, theyre like a good wine that even gets better with age. I saw videodrome at 10 years ols and it became my reason to love cronenberg. And if you contend to mess with one of the most original pieces of cinema of the past 25 years, you will fail miserably. I stand to say that not even Cronenberg himself could improve upon his avant-futuristic vision. Especially not with the experience he has now. This movie could not have been planned more perfectly. It had perfect mix of slightly unexperienced direction, perfect flaws, great acting, and the most original story since Fritz Lang came out with Metropolis. This is a film which should be held in the same regard as the Citizen Kane of modern r-rated science fiction
