  • _Christopher_M · 10 months ago
A Christmas Story has to be one of my favorites plus it was shot not to far from my hometown

    Die Hard.

Best Christmas movie ever, and it puts me in the holiday spirit like nothing else.

I've got to go with A Christmas Story. It's the ultimate Christmas fantasy in the sense of a kid wishing for a gift he doesn't need and/or deserve and getting it anyway. Mine was a Sega Genesis. Every kid can relate to this film. Except Jewish kids.

Bad Santa. Best Christmas movie ever.

In my post under the 10 Worst Christmas Movies Ever, I said Elf was the only good Christmas movies--I somehow completely forgot about Bad Santa, Die Hard, or Christmas Vacation. Maybe it's because they aren't on the continuous loop of ABC Family Made For Public TV movie rotation, or it's just been awhile since I've seen them.

The Conan O'Brien Show once said that movie could fuel all cars, and it would run 100 Smiles an Hour.

Wow, no love for Jack Frost? How far Michael Keaton has fallen ... ;) Or even better, the Jack Frost horror film where Shannon Elizabeth is crushed to death by a snowman. That gets me in the Christmas spirit!

A Christmas Story. It's the only christmas movie I can watch every year. Then It's A Wonderful Life and A Muppet Christmas Carol.

For me it too is A Christmas Story. I love that movie. It has it all, Red Ryder BB gun, bunny outfit, leg lamp, screwed up turkey dinner and the dad just kills me, so much like my old man was.

The Nightmare Before Christmas. I love this movie and can watch it over and over. Not to mention Jack gets to live on my desktop from Halloween through Christmas, which is a joy for all who enter my home.

I have to say The Ref...Nothing says Christmas like Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary.

I was going to enter "Bad Santa" until I saw this. You're right of course. "Don't you have any Christmas music?" "Man this IS Christmas music!"

Absoluyely the best. I used to listen to Shep on WOR NY a long time ago and his humor was funny, off beat, and not a little twisted,
    "You'll shoot your eye out"!
