Film School Rejects: Discuss: Do You Want to See Ryan Reynolds Buried in a Coffin for 80 Minutes?

I'm hopeful for this. I Love Ryan Reynolds, and I am glad he is finally getting to close to a real appreciated actor in Hollywood. While I'm wanting to see Reynolds do the best he can do, I just don't know about 80 minutes of it. Like you said in the article, storytelling and writing have a BIG part to play in films like this.

reminds me of kill bill.. the whole movie being filmed in the coffin.. no i don't think so. He might be down there the whole time and it might cut to him a lot but it will be about people trying to find out what happened to him. come on guys....

technically moon was a one man show, other than gerti

the videos were just videos and were not really characters just clips he played from a previous time.

I don't think the fact that there could only be a single person in the movie that makes it difficult to believe. It's the fact he's going to be in a coffin for 80 minutes. I can see it stretching the limits of the amount of camera angles used in a movie. Not to mention, it's dark in a coffin.

True, that's a one character movie, and it's a great example of a "one character" movie, but it's almost a different ballgame, because, for one, he had a whole island and environment to interact with, including weather, hunting, etc.. even the pesudo-character Wilson.

I suppose the cell phone will help with that point though.

This actually sounds like it could be a really cool movie to watch, if it's done right. However, if Reynolds can't hold his own, or the plot isn't interesting enough, this movie WILL be horrible.

I love Ryan Reynolds in a non-gayish way. His acting is amazing. I love watching his movies. HE IS THE BEST!
