Is the directors cut on dvd a different cut to the bluray, that is identical to the theatrical?
Yeah, probably, huh?
Still, I'm digging the chance to check out the extended version. The fact that Snyder was so reverent to the graphic novel both made it kinda silly (the intentional corniness Moore infused into many scenes plays too seriously film) and kinda awesome (when the hell are you ever going to see some of that weird, graphic, freaky, over-the-top shit in any other major Hollywood release?).
So odd as it sounds, sure, bring on that extra 25 minutes. I don't think it's going to make Watchmen a great film, but it could make it an even more entertaining experience.
