Seagal's so called action sequences had to be re-shot using a double a couple of months later because the film was too short. During the first go round he pretty much refused to do anything more than walk in hit the bad guy once or twice and move out of frame.
He was flown in via helicopter every day (when it would take 40 minutes to drive). I'm not sure where they found the money for that. And he and his bad wig spent most of the shoot with a blanket over his legs eating and complaining of cold.
There's your tough guy for you.
The creepiest thing though were the two scar-faced eastern European body guards he had flanking him at all times. I guess those death threats were real.
