this has always held a special place in my heart with Metropolis (not the anime the silent film) and others in that period. This, to me, is the ultimae Vampire film.

Geez thats the most Ive had to use my thesaurus, in a while.Great film though, very spooky, considering that Orlok might or might not have been a vampire. Sadistic and deep.

Seriously one of the best movies I've ever seen. I got to watch it in a film course at college.
Although, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari was another one of my favs.

Though not inherantly violent at all, this serves as being as the scariest "dracula" performance by far . Ever thing about orlock is creepy the incredible make up and schrecks performace really get under my skin each time. no words and yet an actually scary film...says alot about todays horror films.

Back in the days of 3 channels and tuning that VHS dial (And endlessly adjusting the rabbit ears.) into the independant channels my local PBS station played Nosferatu. I sat mesmerized in front of the tube not quite getting what was going on, but forever hooked on horror films. Nosferatu was so creepy, and so disturbing (To an 8 year old.) that I still think this is the best Vampire film ever. (No matter how hot Kate Beckinsale is.....)
