Film School Rejects: Daily Diversion: Mickey Rourke and Chris Jericho on Larry King

Jericho is a complete waste of space if you ask me

Whoa, whoa, whoa - "lesser" form of entertainment? It might not be your cup of tea, but Rourke knew what he was in for if he said "yes" to this appearance in April. Now, it appears because of the backlash over this potential appearance that Rourke has backed out of WrestleMania.

It is sad that the film crew could use real wrestling companies (CZW and Ring of Honor), real wrestlers (Necro Butcher in the most obvious role) and real events for their "story" but moving the characters into the "real world" would be embarrassing. If the movie wasn't so damn good, I would be a bit more pissed.

Jericho is by far not only one of the greatest wrestlers of all time but and don't kill me one of the best performers of all time. If you aren't a wrestling fan then you may not know how awesome Jericho is. I've watched wrestling my whole life but my girlfriend and her roomate started to watch not because they enjoy the wrestling but because Jericho's promos are so amazing. Youtube WCW Jericho and you'll see how amazing he is. He is the sole reason I still watch because the product it self has died quite a bit. When he is on screen though for even if it is only five minutes it makes it worth watching two hours of not that good story telling. I would love to see this.

I didn't even know Jericho was still wrestling... eh, he's probably just trying to get some attention. :-P

Rourke would kick his ass anyway in a real fight.

chris jericho can blow it out of his ass, hes a little bitch compaired to rourke

in a fist fight match i bet he would whomp on him hands down.

i give rourke more respect for keeping it extremely cool and less respect for jericho for flaunting at him like a little school bully.

    pathetic.

i have to go throw up all over my self.

I'm officially challenging Neil to a Ladder Match. Outside the FSR offices tomorrow night. Be there or be called a coward.

Wrestling is what it is. It's not horrible. It's not a "lesser form of entertainment". It's a live theatre version of daytime soaps.

Regardless, Rourke wouldn't be the first celebrity to jump into the ring, but easily the most talented. Still, he'd never be champion like David Arquette.

Rourke just did a piece for Newsweek. Him, RDJ, Hawkins, Anne Hathaway, Brad Pitt, Frank Langella. He appreciates where he is and vows not to screw it up. I'm glad he's thinking future film projects. Not how can I screw myself in less than 60 seconds.

I, one of the few people who still watch wrestling. I watch it with my nephews used to love Y2J but yes now he spends more time talking than wrestling. He did the whole break the code thing trying to go viral but when people didnt care he went heel.

He is a better heel that is why. He is the best heel of all time. He plays an ass very well. Y2J is amazing.
