Yeah, they had most of the facts right - drugs, chess, sex, fluids, all that. The movie just wasn't very good.

Crowley was a complete pervert, a junkie, a racist prick, a chess buff, a mountain climber and also, apparently most significantly, an occultist. This was alarmingly, astoundingly vapid and given its subject, it should have been mortifying and somewhat 'entertaining', if not celebratory given its backing. I didn't get through it.
