Ok phil_ didn't you just read the blog? Brian says..."I dig the idea…but Singer already ruined the Yuriko Oyama character. So will this sequel be Wolverine falling in love again, this time with Mariko Yashida, and then getting betrayed…" I mean they did use Yuriko in the X-Men 2 and I'm afraid that they used her in the wrong storyline but I wouldn't mind to see the character make a cameo later in the story to match with the X-Men movies.

Mariko in the other hand does make sense of adding her into the storyline since she is a love interest as well. That would trigger to see Silver Samurai.
