This sounds really gritty, can't wait. Using a twelve year old works on so many levels.

What is the matter with all you people. We're pushing 11 year olds with guns! This is funny, smart, hot, gritty or anything else - it is disgusting. I sure don't want to see this, nor would I want my kids to see it and I like guns. It isn't cool on any level. It's just a desperate attempt to get people talking about the movie.

I think I can speak for all the other film affecianados in saying that putting a 12 year old with a gun in a movie is NOT going to make me go and see the movie.

plus it's not a new concept, Natalie Portman did it in the Professional

It's not like she's playing a bad guy or anything. She's a superhero who helps Kick-Ass in the movie. It's pure escapism. No different than Robin as a sidekick to Batman. People need to lighten up and not be so sensitive and wussified. This movie will ROCK and I look forward to seeing this kid pound some criminal scumbags into the pavement.
