Film School Rejects: Chaos Theory Movie Review

Okay, HOW can this movie be THIS good?! The trailer looked awful! Not awful to the point where it was "just a trailer", but that this movie in no way could be good. I really thought it looked so bad I could not even give it a chance.

I'm thinking this is another Dan in Real Life. All the "critics" said the movie was good, with a strong script, but I hated it! It was so bland and boring and although everyone found good things to praise it, I couldn't find one good aspect to it. The story was not good... I'm worried Chaos Theory will be the same thing! But I guess I'll have to see for myself.

I just have to give someone flack for this! :)

Dan in Real Life constantly tried to show how 'indie' it was. Plus, you had to believe Dane Cook was Dan Carrell's brother. Plus, plus, the prevailing question for that film was, "Do jokes have to be funny in order to be jokes?". Their answer was no.

For what it's worth, it only has a 40% Fresh rating at RT out of ten critics. So not all the critics are in love with it. Of course, that also means, you know, it has a 40% rating.

And, yeah, the trailer does sort of suck! I just watched it for the first time, and it seems to want to be overly wacky. What if I guy whose life is all scheduled lost his schedule? Wouldn't that be hilarious and mad-cap?! One day, ad people will realize that audiences can deal with a trailer that shows a movie being funny and dramatic. One day.

He's married to Emily Mortimer and is having a mid life crisis? Look at that picture and tell me how could he? Anyways, I'm glad Ryan Reynolds is trying more serious roles. I think he may be better at it than Adam Sandler who's too well known.
